Sometimes when a player is coming off of the DL you might want to have them send a few days in the minors getting themselves together after a long lay off, I've noticed that the nagging injuries disappear whenever I do this and the player returns to full health. Which makes sense because in real life alot of teams will have a player send a few days in the minors after injuries.

Does it use an option year to do this?

Not if you send them straight to the minors when they come off the DL and then promote them

            Re: Nagging injuries?

I'm having a problem. I just started my Red Sox franchise. Manny got a sprained foot in spring training. It was a day to day injury and it said he would return in a couple of days. When it came to the date it said he would return the day after and the day after. I went into the reg season with this same problem going on and it just didn't go away. So I finally put him on the 15 day DL. Now he is ready to come back and I took him off and he still has the same problem. So I went back to try putting him in the minors the day before he is supposed to come off and it tells me I have to let him go on waivers! He doesn't have any options, so I'm stuck. Is there a way around this?

You have to put him on the DL, and while he's on the DL, send him to the minors. This gets around the waiver thing, tho you can only have him there for 20 days I think....

I got the hang on the adjust rosters thing and sent manny down to AAA. Maybe some games down there will get rid of his ankle sprain. Thanks.

It should, I'd have a case of the nagging injury with Phil Nevin (Bruised Shin sliding head first into second), but it was in ST, a double header so I decided to a have a split-squad game, well, after one day down there, he didn't have a bruised shin.

Ah yes, brings me back to the ASB 03 days, where you could get rid of someone's injury by sending them down.
