    Difficulty level and CPU offense

I have a quick question - does the difficulty level ONLY have an effect on your hitting (making the cusor smaller) or does it also affect the CPU offense. Is the CPU offense tougher on higher levels??

I ask, because I tend to still have low scoring games like last year. The only way I can get the CPU to score is by using smart counts and my pitcher is having a crappy day.

Anyway, wanted to see if anybody knows the answer. Also wanted to know how the CPU is playing against you? How many HR's does it hit? How many runs do they score on you per game?

    Thanks

Re: Difficulty level and CPU offense

I play All-Star level, no pitching cursor. CPU is averaging about 5 runs against me. I get about 5 Ks against it using pitchers like Marquis and Junge. I was playing on Hall of Fame level for a while with the pitching aid on. The CPU was averaging the same amount of runs against me. If I move back to this level with no aid, I suppose I'd get the same results. Overall, I'm fine with this year's CPU hitting. It's better than last year where you could shut down the CPU quite handily.

The CPU rocks me on any level. Lot's of homers, and I can't stike them out. Last night I gave up 21 hits to the Astros. This is the first baseball game in history that I can't pitch in.

I really think pitching is something you get better at as you play more games. I love the results I'm getting. Sometimes I'll shutdown the CPU with my 4th or 5th starter and either times it'll rock my ace. Not easy, not hard. Somewhere in the middle.
