      The stats in my season seem to be right on, if not a little exaggerated in a few areas. I'm about 40 games in and Randall Simon leads the league with a .440 average. I'm 4th with a .360 average with Chipper (8 HR 26 RBI). I'm not even close to the batting leaders. Richie Sexson has 15 HR and 45 RBI, with Jim Edmonds right behind him with 44 RBI.

            You may not be happy with the Franchise stats in ESPN either. The depth charts do not work in Franchise mode (although the CPU subs appear to work in "season mode"). You will find many players playing every game and bench players playing very few, if at all. A fellow forum member (Jim) and myself ran a few tests and in 2 of the test sims Posada played EVERY game even though Flaherty was set to sub 27% of the time. Even with sub % maxed at 50% nothing. In franchise it appears that unless you get injured you play just about every game.

            Anyone notice when you go to change the Injury on/off option it states at the bottom that only 1 injury per game will happen!!??

            If you play season mode you should be ok.

                  Re: no go for realistic stats i guess....

                  I personally don't see the low stats either.While the total number of guys that hit 50 HR's or hit above .300 decreases over the lenght of the franchise...I have seen .300 hitters, 40 homer and over 100 RBI guys 12 years into a franchise. I have simmed over three dozen seasons...some singly and others 10 or 12 years in a franchise...just to see how the stats played out because there was a comment like this earlier and if you take the time during each year of the franchise....pick out a couple of guys(take the top 50 prospects from MLB.com and pick out a few) and boost up thier attributes to reflect a blue chip prospect...the numbers are substantially better as the years go on.
                  Plus there is this;
                  Batting Average Homeruns RBI Doubles
                  Gwynn .351 Schmidt 36 Schmidt 106 Ray 38
                  Lacy .321 Murphy 36 Carter 106 Raines 38
                  Davis .315 Carter 27 Murphy 100 Sandberg 36
                  Sandber .314 Strawberry 26 Strawberry 97 Samuel 36
                  Ray .312 Cey 25 Cey 97

                  These numbers above are a lower than the numbers I hav seen a dozen years into a franchise in ASB. These are from 1984...twenty years ago...exactly how far you can go into an ASB franchise. Alot can change in 20 years and who's to say we don't go back into the "deadball"(it will never really be a deadball again ) era....so if the stats are your main problem...I don't think you are going to be happy with ANY baseball game. I realize that you just want to get what you consider the most realistic stats...nobody is a bigger stat freak than I am...but you have to realize that 1. It's almost impossible to recreate exact stats..and 2. Who knows what baseball will be like 10 years from now?...I'm not knocking you...and I hope ESPN is better for you...but each game has it's faults, so that's just a warning... I got them all and play them all....and ASB gets more of my time than ANY other.

                        Re: no go for realistic stats i guess....

                        Simulate to the end of the season and you'll see what I mean. Nobody has more than 115 RBIs (sometimes one guy will go nuts), HRs are very low. Only a couple of people with 40... sometimes not even any. HRs overall are down. When I simmed with the Braves, neither Chipper nor Andruw had 30 HRs, in fact, one had 24 and the other had 17. That's way low, as is the rest of the league. Typically there are 5-10 people with more than 120 RBIs... in ASB, usually none. MAYBE one if I get lucky.

                        Somebody posted they can't believe I'm taking it back because sim stats aren't on... well that's a major part of video game baseball. I like to have my players compete against the rest of the league and they don't do that on an even par.

                        Maybe I'm picky I guess

                              Well, with Bonds not being in the game and Wes Mailman being horrible, you only have Sammy really being the only threat of 50. At 40, it's still not that many guys: Pujols, maybe Bagwell, and Sexson. I certainly could live with a few guys hitting 40, since that seems to be a reasonable number now (except for Bonds). Also, 115 RBI is a lot as well. Sure you may have a fluke year like Preston Wilson last year and go 130+, but 110-120 is still a hell of a lot.
