Ultimate Homerun Cutscene Thread (When and how to see them)

I've seen a lot of people writing about the homerun cut scenes for specific players and I thought I'd add what I've found. I read that you can only see special homerun cut scenes if you hit a homerun that gives you the lead. While this is true I've found that you can also see them if you hit a grandslam or if you hit a pinch hit homerun. I have David Ortiz on my bench and whenever I hit a homerun with him with a pinch hit they show his cutscene. Anybody find any other situations when you see the player-specific homerun animation? Also, which players have a specific homerun animation? So far I've seen Mike Piazza's, David Ortiz, and Manny Ramirez. What I've noticed is that when you hit one, it tips you off by showing a really awkward swing thats pretty flat and looks as if the hitter is swinging at a ball thrown at him. Another quesiton I have is does anybody know why sometiemes they show the replay of the homerun and sometimes they just show you running the bases. At first I just assumed it was only for home games but then I played the astros and saw the instant replay after every homer. Anywyas, add anytihng else you know about the homerun cut scenes so we can solve this mystery

HR's that tie or give you the lead will cause the cut scene. I have only seen it in the replay fashion though. For those that dont know, I mean the auto replay not the manual one. The manual one can show it although you have to be at the perfect camera angle. I have seen A-Rod, Delgado, and a couple others. They dont really have a special thing but it shows them admiring their shot. I just played the All-Star game and every hr I hit was a one that tied it or put me in the lead. So I got to see it every time. It was nice. I also noticed I see it more using the 2d versus the 3d. Still some mystery remains though.

I have mine set to cutscene only so is that what you guys are talking about? I just had Felix Ortiz come off the bench to hit a game winning grand slam and I didn't notice any special cut scene.

There seems to be something wrong with the cut scene cam in the PS2 version. The problem being, it never shows cut scenes. I only see them when I have on the random cam. Besides that I never get to see the batter homerun cut scenes, it always seems to be the pitcher getting upset rather than Sosa's hop. I really hope they change it for next year's game, so that you're able to see the HR celebrations every time if you desire.

I noticed too that when playing in Houston they show the batter swinging and hitting the ball out of the park during the replay. Is that the only park that shows that?
