less bugs that effect play. Bugs such as the injury/freeze where a player dives at the wall, gets injured, and the game freezes. Or the slow motion capture after the K's going haywire and turning off and on during the entire game. I'm not talking about the crouch (who cares), or the vacuum (barely noticeable). I'm talking about things that can build up and get annoying over time, little things. It's important for me that this game becomes smoother next year. Second on my most wanted list is more freedom (yes, EVEN MORE) in Expansion mode. More cities, the ability to name the team and create the jersey (it's not THAT HARD), create the park (ala tony hawk?), and all that. I mean, make it more about the purchase! Make it more involved! Acclaim are the only ones creating Baseball games with Expansion as a main focus! If they spent more time on that one most applauded of all features, the game would sell a helluvalot more. I mean, I envision a game where you go to pick from at least 50 cities and each city has a set ammount of cash they're willing to give you for a park, then you go to make the park and based on your budget you get to choose between a few basic models that can be upgraded at later dates or better, or superior models. All the time you have to keep in mind how much cash you have and how much you will need for a decent team (you can explain this without it being weird in the game booklet), from there you make your own jersey. They should still force people to make a certain team name, otherwise it'd be weird with the announcers going "the Toronto Blue Jays versus....That team!" However, add a few more team names to choose from. Think of the cities and what would fit them best. Depending on how much cash you have to spend after the park creation and saving for the team, you can create up to ten jerseys for the team (the average owner will be able to afford 3). Then you draft, create the real team, and get to it. It's not that hard to make these kind of features. I know some people at Acclaim probably think it's too complicated for most users, but I just don't think that's the case. Most people want a choice, especially people buying a Baseball game, because mostly only Baseball fans are buying it. Look at how well Simulation as a genre in games is selling nowadays. It's partially due to the fact that nobody does it anymore, and mostly because all the Sim games coming out lately are highly innovative. What wouldn't be innovative about a Baseball simulation feature in a Baseball game? I'm talking COMPLETE IMMERSION. Acclaim is so close they can taste it, and yet they never have gone for it. Oh when will my prayers be answered? -
