welll...despite mass frustration finding a hitting option that I could live with(I'm on 2D, rookie speed and bumped up to all-star level so I can make better, though less contact); I finished the season with the Cubs and despite a dreadful September while going exclusively with 2D hitting, I won the Central by 1 game over the Cards---who made the playoffs as the wild card.
I've had extensive injjuries to my position players all season, including losing Lee for the season around the all-star break. Every one of my starting position players spent time on the DL except Sosa, UNTIL, Sammy breaks his knee cap on the 2nd to last day of the season. So I go limping into the playoffs expecting a quick exit with my already anemic offense now Sosa-less.
I take on the BRaves. Unfortunately the AI post season logic already doesn't look good. They narrow it down to 3 starters for the playoffs...but Horacio Ramirez, who had a Cy Young type yearhas been bumped to long relief. Not good...The AI's questionable logic with my division competitors has helped me all season, but I figured with all my injuries..it evened out..But I don't want the postseason to go that way.
I guess what I may do is start the game controlling the Braves and insert Ramirez as the starter and then switch to the Cubs once in the game. Hopefully, the AI won't deviate from the lineup I have set for the Cubs. We'll see what happens.
