There's a real 2004 MLB player sim opening up over at http://mlb-history.com/imlb where you take a real team (ie: Red Sox, Cubs) and then draft your team from a pool of real 2004 MLB players. It's a 30 team league with every MLB team being owned by a GM.
A simulation league is basically like any of your dynasty modes in video games (Madden, MVP Baseball, etc.). You own and manage your team against 29 other GM's and build through free agency, trades, and the rookie draft. You can even set ticket prices and fan promotions to build attendance. The best part about this thing is that it's free, so it's worth a try.
It's a slow paced league, plays out one game every day, 180 day season. Winner of each season gets an MLB team hat of their choice. You have to be very active though, so don't plan on signing up and bailing after a week. Check it out of you are interested.
