I am beginning to wonder if the game starts to show mercy if one team jumps out to a big early lead. In a recent game, I jumped out to a 2nd inning 10-2 lead. Afterwards I was one hit by the oppositions scrubs and held off a few rallys enroute to a tight 10-7 win.
The following game was more suspicious as the shoe was on the other foot. By the fourth inning, the CPU had a 13-3 lead on 18 hits. Since the game was a wash, I left in one of my weaker pitchers who was spent after giving up 5 runs in one inning pitched. Suddenly, the CPU couldn't get jack going. My rubber armed pitcher only gave up one more run the rest of the way while scattering a couple hits. More concerning was that many of my pitches were meatballs (an early 13-3 deficit was a tad frustrating).
Just curious if anyone else has noticed anything like this?
