What is the absolute hardest setting?

I know this sounds like an odd question w/ many people wanting to respond with "LEGEND" But, I've read alot about varying results pending on pitcher & hitter aids being turned on/off.

I seem to strike out 15-20 batters per game with both the hitter & pitching aids turned off, yet seem to "K" 6-10 batters with the aids on... shouldn't this be the other way around? It seems that the cumputer piles up 15 to 20 hits while scoring only 1 or 2 runs on what SHOULD be the "Hardest setting? In last year game, I'd swear the hardest level was NOT what Acclaim acclaimed to be "Most Difficult"

Help! I want the most challenging / truest statistics before I start a dynasty...

I keep reading here how guys are getting mashed on a regular basis. as odd as it sounds, I'd like to get my A%$ kicked every once in a while.

I'm in the exact same situation as you are. The game just seems to be too easy. I'm in the process of messing around with all the settings to find the most difficult arrangement I can. I'm about 80 games into my franchise, but have only lost 16 games and it's frustrating. I'd like to struggle to make the playoffs and actually be in a race for the pennant. If ANYONE could help us out it'd be much appreciated.

Try All-Star setting with the 2D cursor, very hard for me and I;m a veteran of ASB 2003and 2004

Why would you recommend the All-Star level? Legend would be the hardest right?

I use the pitching cursor, no other aids, vibration off.

It seems that the All-Star level is harder than the HOF or Legend. Weird, but other posters have stated this as well. Try it yourself and see.
