Needing a triple in the top of the 9th to complete the cycle, Carlos Lee smashed one into the gap in left-center. I decided as soon as the ball was hit that he was going to have a triple or be thrown out trying. Surprisingly, he made it, and I got my cycle.
I was a bit disappointed that Thom and Steve didn't say anything about it afterward. I sure got a lot of card points for it, though!
I actually came pretty close to having two cycles in the same game, as Jose Valentin finished with a single, double, and triple. In his last AB, he fouled out to deep right field. D'oh!
