This could be good news as Konami have already released a version of this for tablet/phones with Masahiro Tanaka being the face behind it!!

I'd rather play with real players, real animations, real faces, on the fox engine, than bobbleheaded cartoon characters.
Cheap konami development! Give less take more approach, Bet on the PS4 they still want $60 though!

        Total Joke!

Well with PYS going down the drain being on mobile it looks like you're just gonna have to deal with it. Personally even though I love simulator baseball games, PYS has never done it for me. I've always loved the Power Pro series all the way back on the Wii when they made the MLB versions, let me tell you, it may look like a cartoon, but it's a hell of a lot more realistic than you might think just looking at it on the surface, and the success mode sells the game alone (and then there was the high school manager mode, I forget it's name exactly, but it's truly addicting). You may be into realism, but instead of just blindy hating the game why don't you actually give a good baseball game a chance. Power Pros has more depth than you think.

Power Pros is one of the deepest baseball games there is.

I'll take it any day of the week over The Show, and that's not exaggerating a single bit.

If anyone is "on the fence" with the Power Pros series, you can pick up 2013 on the PS3 for like, $19 on Amazon or eBay, get no later than 12 because I've played 11 and 10 and the game animations in those ones are what made the game of old (and mlb ones on the wii and ps2) very frustrating to play at times, but for 12 and later (get 13 to be safe, because I can't remember specifically which one) they improved the animations and made the game a hell of a lot more smooth (by animations, I mean fielding-wise, there were times where you had the ball and for some reason there was no animation available for the player to actually make the play, it was weird and frustrating, but I'm glad they fixed it). Also, http://www.powerprotranslation.com is great for navigating the menus and helping figure out what the skills and abilities all say, think it's the same people who did the PYS translated site, but I don't know, I know they've both been mentioned on this site before. But like I said, at least give Power Pros a chance, it's seriously a good game if you give it a chance and don't mind looking up translations for some things.

PYS looks deeper to me. I will get PP if there is no PYS on PS4 but that's not been confirmed yet. Looking at YouTube videos of PP it looks great "for that type of game" but PYS is my style of game. Bottom line i'll play PP over The Show if need be.

Once you've tasted the batting mechanics of PYS or Power Pros, that alone makes it almost impossible to return to the Show's hitting. I used to quite enjoy The Show and would genuinely like to get back into it.

Tried once, but never really felt in control of the batter and the outcome of an at-bat in the same way that Konami's titles delivered.

The impossible dream as always is for Microsoft get serious about baseball, acquire the PYS engine, the MLB license, get an art team on the stadiums and faces, rudimentary commentary cobbled together and manage expectations with a "don't expect year one miracles, guys but you'll love the gameplay".

An absolutely solid base to build on, instantly the best MLB game ever and a system seller for baseball fans. A lack of competition is seriously hurting baseball and hockey games these days.

I felt the same after playing PYS and would never get back to Shows gameplay mechanics.

Its a shame. I think they are scared of the complexity. While you can have aids to guide the cursor, its ultimately harder to hit the ball with a little bat cursor than the big *** circle Show is using. And they think it wouldnt sell so well as some people would just find it too hard.

And providing as an alternative to the "hardcore" gamers? Well we all know developers arent too keen on doing favors...

Yeah, but with PYS it's real bat physics ball goes where bat/ball meet different outcome always.
The show even with the circle cursor aids still not real physics AI is taking control of the outcome reason why it's not as in grousing as PP/PYS.

Same with Fielding and Pitching too much AI control.

I agree, kind of what I had in mind too, with more realistic physics they would have to balance the actual game-play. This way Show can just decide to lob the ball somewhere else to keep the stats "realistic".
