SO what was the bottom line on making this game playable with zone?

    SO what was the bottom line on making this game playable with zone?

    I played half a season on legend and for about 30 games I used zone and went 30-0. Then I used both types of cursor and the win total was more realistic but the stats tanked. Also, there were way too many doubles.

    What was the final settings to make it work? I remember some slider changes, rating changes to make more balls drop in, etc.

    What worked for you guys? I love the expansion mode but the gameplay was too easy with the gameplay I liked (zone). Any suggestions?

    Well most people that play the game use the 3 d cursor and slow pitch speed.. i use easy timed cause i suck at cursor hitting.. as for sliders asb dont got them... (thank god) what other options are you using here are mine...

    pitching aid off
    gen count off
    pitch speeed sim
    manual defense

    well i think that is it... that is how my game is set up..

      Well most people that play the game use the 3 d cursor and slow pitch speed.. i use easy timed cause i suck at cursor hitting.. as for sliders asb dont got them... (thank god) what other options are you using here are mine...

        Here's the settings I use...

        Level - Legend
        3-D Cursor
        Hitter Aid On
        Strike Zone Off
        Pitching Aid Off
        Gen Count Off
        Pitch Speeed Classic (Hey I'm getting older, my reflexes are slowing)
        Fielder Control Manual

        And as far as the Edits changes you mention, there is a thread that discusses some changes for the players. it's here.

        Here's a brief synopsis of the changes. I didn't do all those, but I did a few of them, like the pitchers stamina increase. and speed changes. Go to the post for more info.


        1. Take the outfielders and drop their RANGE and ARM STRENGTH. Take a look at range. Many slow outfielders are rated A in their RANGE capability, doesn't make sense.

        2. Go to each player and up their speed rating. I upped all except the slowest players to B. Take a look at many of the players. Many are rated at speed of D. That's one reason they don't advance or tag up.

        3. Up the infielders ARM STRENGTH (it will offset the speed increase of playrs on close plays).

        I also upped the pitchers RANGE to see if they would cover those choppers in front of the plate better.

        Knight has numbers on PITCHER STAMINA that you can PM him as I've forgotten what I did.

            Generated Count - 1B, 1S
            Better view - Back
            Pitcher view - Broadcast 2
            Fielder view - 2004 cam
