Posted a 7 minute video of my VITA gameplay. This is "Field Play" mode where you pick only one player prior to the start then bat, field and run with him. On defense I set things to "one pitch mode" to speed things up.

I'm on the red team (Carp) at the Baystars. I chose to play with the leadoff hitter who plays shortstop. So the game starts with me batting, then running then fielding. It ends after 3 innings because that's how I set the mercy rule.

In case you're wondering what happened in my 3rd at-bat, I swung too early and completely missed the ball. I didn't notice the pitcher lost 5 mph of velocity off his fastball due to fatigue (so that 85mph fastball was more like a changeup.) That's not good since I'm already swinging early to pull the ball.

The new replay option is great for this mode. Because of the varying live camera angles you can go back and look at your positioning, what did wrong, or see if there was a play you could've made by diving etc.

For best results watch on youtube & set to 720P HD.

Good observation. When I swung the bat I thought I missed but heard a faint "clunk" sound. I didn't know what it was but remembered what you said here so it makes sense. Nice addition to the game.

The CPU manager doesn't mess around. I caught them trying to steal and picked them off 1st base. They didn't stop though because a couple innings later they successfully double-stole 2nd & 3rd base then squeezed a man home.

Yeah the CPU can be pretty sneaky.

I had one game where the CPU pulled back a bunt and went for a hit. Never crossed my mind that the CPU would do this so I made a low effort pitch that got hit for extra bases and cost me a run.

Also had a CPU closer throw a quick pitch that threw me off guard and struck me out.

These things happen very rarely so I am wondering what other kind of things like this that they programmed into this years game.

Wow what I would give for a MLB version of this. Looks like a ton of fun! Will this work on a NA PS4? I might just order it.

I know, I wish. Hopefully it will happen someday again. MLB Power Pros was the most fun I ever had in a baseball game. I still may have to try this out.

Loving the game, brings be back to the PP days on PS2. Quick question, having hard time knowing who’s coming up to bat and on the bases with my team and the cpu. Is there anyway to edit the cpu teams while in pennant season mode?

Glad you are liking the game. There should be an edit team option in Pennant: Here is the page we put up from the 2013 version, see if you can find it.

And just a tip. In 2014 the game went to full minors so it takes longer to edit teams. It takes about 1 hour to do each team - or half the time if you just edit starters and top prospects. I just ignore the crappy minor players.

Thanks for the info. Google translate has been helpful. Maybe they took out edit mode for 2018, because I haven’t been able find it. I’ll keep searching.

Anyone know how to unlock stadiums? I unlocked the Championship stadium with coin however it doesn't give me an option to unlock the remaining 4 with coin, unless I'm missing something.

I managed to unlock 2 stadiums from the cruise liner by playing games in the powerful festival. Just kept hitting buttons thru the dialogue until it took me to the matchup screen. I won a few games before I lost and couldn't go any further. After that I launched an exhibition game and those 2 stadiums were there. They are called Deck Stadium and Mall Stadium. Maybe other stadiums unlock if you progress further?
