How in the world do I edit rosters on ASB05?(XBOX)

Trying to figure this out but I can not find where to edit the rosters at all. I found where to edit the players, but I can't find the actual roster edit screen. Please help!!

You can't trade or sign guys unless you do a career mode

Only way to do it is to edit actual players into a player they actually aren't. The problem there is you can't edit player positions, so you are kind of hamstrung there. For example, I had to "sacrifice" Edgar Martinez to be Richie Sexson, and Rich Aurillia to be Adrian Beltre! Good trade-offs, but a lot of work just to get the two new guys on the team. What took 10 minutes takes about 30 seconds in other games. I don't know why ASB took out trading outside of Exhibition. They were always limited in the past, though, even in 2004 you could only trade exact position-for-position, no exceptions.

Once you get into franchise mode, can you only do player moves for one team, the one you control? Or will it let you make the moves necessary to get updated rosters? I don't care much about exhibition games.
