There is no option for English text in the game, however there is a website called spirit translation that does a great job of translating menus.

As far as player editing, I have not messed with it too much, but I can tell you it is not nearly as in depth as The Show. You can pick glove, bat and batting glove color, as well as some player accessories, but you are stuck with the same pair of cleats, batting gloves and fielding gloves for every player. There are no different brands of equipment like The Show has.

On a side note, one awesome thing I have noticed about this game is when you play the all-star game, all of the players wear there actual team uniforms, unlike The Show where they wear AL and NL uniforms. That is just amazing.

Is it possible to get English text
in this game, for menus and such ?
As well, how deep is the
editing tool for players ?

Just logged in to play this morning, it appears PYS 2019 will be going offline Wednesday July 28. You will no longer be able to play any online modes starting that day. Also, they have discontinued the sales of DLC content and digital versions of the game as well. If you have already purchased any DLC content, you will still be able to download it even after sales have stopped.

So I finally purchased PYS 19...it's going to be delivered today. I was wondering if this game is playable on PS5? I don't have one yet but that would affect my decision on buying digital or disc based PS5.
Have been wanting to play this game for a long time so really looking forward to it.

I actually play Jikkyou Powerful Pro Yakyuu (Power Pros) but another really good translator for these games is Naver papago. Using them both when Google Translate feels off I’ll switch over to Naver papago and it seems more accurate.

Only downside is that you have to take a picture to scan the text so it isn’t in ‘real time’ like Google Translate.

My guess is it does play on PS5, I saw a few YouTube videos being played on PS5. Not sure if anyone here has a next gen system.

I’m sticking with Disc when I get one. I’d rather get a disc copy and ship it rather than going through the whole creating a Japanese PSN account thing. For PYS19 I ended up getting the disc version from Amazon for $35, can’t beat that. Of course, holding hope for another PYS down the road.

I decided to order the game...couldn't pass up the game for that price. The last version I own is 2014, so should be a nice upgrade. I'll try it on my PS5 and let y'all know the results.

So PYS 19 on the PS5 is fantastic. Smooth 60fps the entire time no matter what (gameplay, cut scenes, etc.) and the load times are almost non-existent.

I'm weak...i caved and bought it and having a BLAST. Plays just like the PS4 version did, and honestly doesn't look too bad on my big tv.

If there was a "little things" thread for this game like we do for the Show, Im playing Hiroshima and Aizawa comes up to the plate and the crowd is singing happy birthday to him...i looked online and yep, its his birthday!

I don't blame you. This is my favorite baseball game. Has been since the mid 90s. I actually own every version on the PS3, the lone version that came out for Xbox 360, the PS4 version, and now the Nintendo switch version.

I pre-ordered this before I even had a Nintendo switch. I bought a Nintendo switch just for this game. So I understand what it is to cave in to buying the game.

Never intended to buy a switch, but looking at it now. I can play my games on big screen or take it on the go. Win/win....YES!
