I think the move would be to get Super Mega baseball 3. RBI tends have a more difficult learning curve imo.

So just wanted to give a couple of quick impressions after two games.

First off, as someone said, it's better than any RBI game so far. Like a pretty good step up.

The Good:

1) I like the pitching interface. Intuitive but not overly complicated.

2) I also like the hitting interface. Specifically the directional hitting, or whatever they call it. I wasn't hitting anything on the default setting. With directional you are able to make better contact I think as a user skill.

3) I love how the ball hooks and slices this year. Very realistic, but maybe a tad overdone.

4)Fielding has improved, but something about it needs fixed immediately. That will be in the negatives.

Overall, it's a good game. Plays a solid game of baseball. And if they support it all year with patches and roster updates, I think it can be a fun, albeit arcady alternative to The Show if you need a break from the realism standpoint.

The Negatives:

1) The fielding. While not the act of fielding itself, because that is pretty good, it's the animations, or lack thereof. In 2021 I feel like it's inexcusable to have so much lack of animations. Half the time the ball just doesn't even go into the glove, and it's a super fast cut to throwing and there literally is no catch animation. Also too many running throws. Players only seem to get set to throw about half the time if that. If this was cleaned up and we had more animations, specifically fielding, this game would jump up at least a whole point if I were scoring it.

2) Too many line drives. Small sample size, but seemed about half the balls hit are line drives. You do see some balls floated over the infield or shots down the lines, which look really good. I actually robbed a HR on the second hitter of the first game I played. It was sweet and actually looked good. So that's a positive hidden in the negatives. Sorry about that.

3) My first game went to extra innings, and I hit a walk off double to win in the 12th, but the problem was, Lucas Giolito started the game, and he pitched till the 12th. That's a big problem. Second game, the same thing happened with Buehler. It was only a 9 inning game, but he had given up 6 runs. So this needs to be patched it seems.

4) Apparently there is no replay system, unless I am missing it. Also no swing feedback or where the ball ended up after the pitch. Not huge deals, but something that should be in the game imo.

I have more that I can write, but I'll leave it there for now. The big question is, is it worth $30? I can say yes it is. It's fun, I didn't wanna stop playing. When you hit a bomb it's pretty awesome. I don't know if that can patch in animations. I guess it would come down to if they already have them. Which If they did they should be in the game, so I doubt it. To me, that's the biggest thing holding this game back from being really good. I just don't get it. I can't let them off the hook for it. But if you can look passed that, and it's kinda hard to do, but I feel like it's one of those things where you either decide to yourself that you can deal with it or not. And that might determine if people play it or not.

Why do they release this game every year with bugs?

These bugs are so bad you can't even play the game.

I can't hit with the insane lag and I can't throw to the bases

The Android version is completely unplayable.

Got it for ps4 playing on ps5

Looks to me like its def 60fps and the textures look to be as good as xbox series x i can tell by the cfans in the stands while pitching there are better quality than on switch or mobile ios.

just wish the animations were more there etc

Can someone tell me on the ps4 version how the rosters are? Someone mentioned they are way outdated? Is that true. Like do the Mets have Lindor?

I want to get it to hold me over until the show but rosters are important for me.

It doesn't, sigh. I don't understand why these games don't support controllers. I get it, it's a mobile game, but with being able to use controllers no reason they don't get supported.

Reading through people’s comments, just a couple of quick thoughts on the playability of this game on Switch and mobile platforms. I purchased it on iOS, android and the Switch, and they all play very well - with iOS and android graphics slightly cleaner than the Switch.

For those having issues with their android version, if you are using a relatively newer phone/tablet with a decent processor, you will have zero issues. On the Tab S6 lite, it is a lag-fest and not worth playing at all. Using the S20 FE, it is flawless on the phone itself and while connected via hdmi to a monitor/tv. The Switch version runs smoothly but I’m guessing tops out at 30fps.

I saw this on a YouTube video a couple of days ago. I thought maybe the game was broken, but apparently it's only tied in with Yu?

Yep, Darvish has that curveball in the mobile versions as well.
