Re: R.B.I. Baseball 21 Available Today
Edit his curveball pitch quality from 49 or whatever it is set to in the latest roster to 50, then save the changes. I don't think you can save your changes back to the default roster, but you can save those changes to a new roster and that should reset the movement of his curveball to a more natural drop.Comment

Thanks, appreciate it. Damn, too bad. I don’t get it either. Basically takes me from a probable purchase to a probable no purchase.Comment

Re: R.B.I. Baseball 21 Available Today
It's a roster glitch that should be fixed in the next update.

It stuffs up all of his other pitches velocity (extremely slow...)
Eg he now throws 30mph slider...
Hope this is fixed soon...Comment

Re: R.B.I. Baseball 21 Available Today
I haven't seen video of the pitch in the game yet, but it should be noted that Darvish does throw an unusual curveball (more of an eephus) that sometimes drops sub-70 mph.
So if pitch speeds in the game are reduced even further than real life speeds, he'd probably throw a pitch that looks like a balloon.

Edit: Oh....that clip above....yeaaaaah, i'm gonna say he probably can't do that IRL.But his weird IRL curveball (and the ratings that would be associated with it in the game) might indirectly be the cause of that bug.

Re: R.B.I. Baseball 21 Available Today
Reading through people’s comments, just a couple of quick thoughts on the playability of this game on Switch and mobile platforms. I purchased it on iOS, android and the Switch, and they all play very well - with iOS and android graphics slightly cleaner than the Switch.
For those having issues with their android version, if you are using a relatively newer phone/tablet with a decent processor, you will have zero issues. On the Tab S6 lite, it is a lag-fest and not worth playing at all. Using the S20 FE, it is flawless on the phone itself and while connected via hdmi to a monitor/tv. The Switch version runs smoothly but I’m guessing tops out at 30fps.
I'm using a brand new Motorola Edge and it's unplayableComment

Re: R.B.I. Baseball 21 Available Today
It's not. I was using the latest roster when replicating the glitch.
Speaking of, there's a lot going on that I hope gets addressed in the first patch, along with the strange animations, and the trigger button swaps:
- I've had an issue where doing an in-game tutorial causes the game to switch me over to the opposing team rather than the team I initially controlled before the tutorial. I also noticed that the game will still utilize an online gamertag on the PC version (which I own). Plot twist: The PC version doesn't have online gameplay.
- I've also had the game's ambient crowd audio completely not work, causing the game to be played with just the sound effects and the commentary, almost like how games were played in the beginning of the pandemic last season before they decided to include artificial crowd noise.Comment
