Thanks DJ - I’m still having fun with the game even after the review...but another 2-3 developers in the animation department would have done this game wonders

Seriously. If they could improve and enhance the fielding animations, that would make a huge difference. Still, as you said, the game is fun and a nice alternative while we wait for MLB The Show.

Absolutely - good news is this game is going nowhere and hopefully they keep this foundation and keep building on it

The second best baseball game is still Pro Yakyuu Spirits 2019/2020 and it isn't even close. Instead of trying to emulate The Show they should shoot for this as a benchmark.

Fair point - my opinion is they should really try to emulate a title like The Bigs 2...which would be an awesome approach.

Thanks for the review. I'll give this game a try. They should work on the animation system for next season. This game has potential.

I would love to see a Pro Yakyuu Spirits on PS5 in NA. Just add the english language and you have me sold.

So if I’m looking for a solid baseball game for my laptop to check in with when I need a break from working, should I go with RBI Baseball 21 or MVP Baseball 2005?

If your laptop can run it(Win10 hates MVP 05) and it’s strong enough to run smoothly modded up - MVP 05 all day long

I'll say it again and again, merge with OOTP.  Then the animations wouldn't matter because you're getting a totally different experience with simulating the game visually instead of textually (and yes I do know OOTP has added some animation but not to this degree).

I was just thinking the other day how much I miss The Bigs. Such a fun series. I'd love to see RBI go that route.

Such a fun series and delivered an authentic MLB experience while keeping the game fun and accessible

Tempted to get it on Switch for the portability but I'm having a pretty good time with Super Mega Baseball 3 to get my baseball fix there. May get it in a bit.
