Aside from the MLB series, why do games still have the old Durham batting stance?

I'm playing ESPN Major League Baseball right now in my Giants franchise, and have Durham up to bat. I remember a long time ago I changed his stance to Jeromy Burnitz because Durham doesn't bat like his stance is in the game.

I don't know why, but for some reason developers can't seem to realize that he hasn't batted with his bat angled downward like that for at least 3 or 4 years now. As a matter of fact, I can't recall any footage of him actually batting like that.

Now, I don't know what All Star Baseball 2005 had, but I know that 2002 and 2003 had the weird stance for him. MVP still has is, and MLB 2K5 still has it.

MLB 2006 has his stance perfect. And trust me, I KNOW BATTING STANCES. When I say perfect, I mean flawless.

It would make sense for the developers to at least get the general area of his batting stance, but for some reason they keep it the same every year?

Anyone know why? It's just the strangest thing...

Can anybody else name awkward stances that are in games this year that have just been in the game too long and need fixing? Remember, I'm only referring to unique stances, not generic.

    Here are a few more:

    Eric Chavez (MLB 2K5)
    Juan Gonzalez (MVP 2005)
    Jacque Jones (MLB 2K5)
    Alex Rodriguez (MVP 2005)
    Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60

I'm guessing they don't change it because it's one small detail they overlook.

I've always thought that Durhams stance in ASB matched Grissom a little more because of the bat, even though Grissom doesn't have his stance that wide to start with.
