Alright, finally have all the cheer songs downloaded and assigned and now i want to start my franchise over. Trying to decide now on who to pick. I tend to prefer the Pacific league because of the DH, hitting with pitchers suck but thats not going to deter me.

Central
Giants - Legendary Tokyo dome, however too much like SF Giants who i hate. Also have no names on their jerseys so will be hard to remember who the players are, at least at first. Do have money and rumored to be going after Kai and Ohyama this offseason. Could be intriguing.

Hanshin - Playing all home games at Koshien is appealing. Cool uniforms. Sato and Chikamoto
DeNA - sell me on them. Decent looking uniforms. Not really drawn to them
Hiroshima - nothing stands out to me about them. Sell me on them.
Yakult - Tokyo Ohndo song before games. Murakami and Yamada. Cool uniforms and tiny umbrellas.
Chunichi - probably least appealing to me. Plus look like Dodgers.

Pacific
Hawks - very good. Probably one of my favorite teams. But used them so much in 2019/2022 game as well as Switch. But a lot of familiarity with the organization. Love Yuki Yanagita and Kondo.

Fighters - Who my current franchise is. Not sure if i want to start over with them having played so many games already. Love the Franimal and Mannami and their awesome new stadium.

Lotte - Roki Sasaki. Don't have to face Polanco. He OWNS me.
Rakuten - cool park with the ferris wheel. Decent uniforms. Asamura.
Orix - pitching pitching pitching. Just always reloading.
Lions - sell me on them.

Can you let me know which DLC you purchased or are these already in the stock game? The cheers at Tokyo Dome were one of my favorite parts of the game we experienced.

I mentioned this a few posts ago, end of April is when the big 2025 update will release. I won't post the entire thing, but here's the snippet (translated):

The 2025 Season Update is scheduled for release at the end of April. Please note that once the update is applied, any "in-game interruption data" saved before the update in various modes and the "SEASON" interruption data in myBALLPARK will become invalid. This update introduces features that allow gameplay with 2025 season data. Unless otherwise noted, the following changes apply only to the 2025 season. (At game launch, you can choose to play with either 2025 or 2024 season data.)

For the Live Scenarios, yes. I can't speak to the other modes because I'm still playing a season with the 2024 data pack.

I know your said you wait for your spot, but I'm not sure this is very realistic. Curious your more recent thoughts.

Me too, and last Sunday. I have a few baseball gaming projects planned: Deep deep dive into PYS. So much more support for translation as opposed to 15 years or so ago trying this on the PS3. I got back into Strat-O-Matic last summer and will be constructing a HOF All-Star tournament. I discovered a very good classic roster for the show 25 at the tail end of last year’s baseball season that I want to run a season with. So giddy that baseball season is back!

Got the game a tad earlier than expected. Some of the menu is in English but mostly in Japanese. Translation is a breeze now compared to the last time I played the game back in the PS3 days. It didn’t take long to find my sweet spot settings and ended up accidentally playing for about 6 hours Friday afternoon.

I won’t be that guy who will compare it to The Show. It is its own game and is a blast to play. Konami has captured the nuances of the game along with the uniqueness of the Japanese game. The game has a couple warts but no big deal.

Got the game for 30 bucks and already got my money’s worth out of it. I wish I could find a few people to interact with over this game.

Yes you still get patches/updates.

I am thinking about ordering the game from Japan, The Show has disappointed me too much in recent years. Will updates still be available in 2026? And also, available when I’m playing from Germany?

Has there been confirmation of them releasing a game this year? Before 24, there was a five year gap between releases on console. I've also read a few Japanese websites that point towards eBaseball being the future with micro-transactions and other things being added later to become more like eFootball (formally PES).
