playing ASB 2005? I have tried all of the new games this year and none have captured my interest the way that ASB did last year. So, I have decided that I am going to play it. I still have mvp because it is a decent game and I like the owner mode. Anyone else feel the same as I?

I still play it from time to time. I bought it earlier this year to pass the time until the new games come out. I heard a lot about the game, but it was better than I thought.When the new games came out, I stopped playing, but now I find myself playing it more than MLB 2K5 and a little less than MVP. Generated counts should be an option in all games IMO.Comment

I am. I just don't know what it is, but no game (sports or otherwise) captures my attention like this game does. It just captures baseball. I can just pick up and play without worrying about roster glitches, freezes, stats bugs, etc. Plus, I think it has the best franchise mode and stat engine in any sports game ever (not including text-based sims of course). I really wish they came out with a game this year. The only downer is that i wish it had a better zone hitting model. I'm still playing. With a new baby last year I really didn't get a chance to get into it. Updated my rosters for the 2005 season(took a little work) and I'm enjoying it. I like to keep my rosters current and this game allows me to do it. I'm still trying to decide on a title to buy for this year. Hopefully this weekend I'll weaken and buy one. If only you could only micro-manage the rosters on MLB.Comment

I like to keep my rosters current and this game allows me to do it. I'm still trying to decide on a title to buy for this year. Hopefully this weekend I'll weaken and buy one. Looks like I'll be going back to ASB2005 myself.
I'm very disappointed with MLB's manage only mode(my kind of baseball game). MVP just never feels right to me and while I like MLB2K5, it just does not do it for me either. I really hate controlling the players rather than just managing them...so I'll update the rosters the best I can...and get cracking with the 2005 season on ASB!

Looks like I'll be going back to ASB2005 myself.
I'm very disappointed with MLB's manage only mode(my kind of baseball game). MVP just never feels right to me and while I like MLB2K5, it just does not do it for me either. I really hate controlling the players rather than just managing them...so I'll update the rosters the best I can...and get cracking with the 2005 season on ASB!
