Wow, have to say, it's a great read, and they got a lot right on target. Seems like it's an article written by a simgamer like myself. Sadly, they do make some glaring mistakes in the article, such as attribute on field throwing meters as if they are a new feature for MVP. But overall, I think they did a pretty good job. It's def. either MVP or MLB (989) overall this year...

Yeah, saw this a few days ago, but forgot to post it.

Gee, it's really no contest for the dumbfounded out there when you get 10 minutes of MVP, and only 30 seconds of MLB and 2K5.

So you're saying they didn't give the other games a fair shake? B/c they didn't declare your favorite the "best?"

C'mon, aside from some oversights, it was a VERY good comparison. They gave lots of valid points.

Actually, that's not the reason, thank you VERY much.

Every game got their props (although they compared all games on PS2... I believe MVP isn't the best looking game on the PS2, I think that MLB 2006 is. For Xbox, 2K5). The problem is is that they went through every feature in MVP, and on MLB and 2K5, they did maybe one feature and maybe three video clips. Maybe one phone call also (which the phone calls were pretty "dorky" also).



Like I said... the comparison was fine, but if somebody were to try and find a game to buy, why not buy the game that gets the most coverage?

i agree with blzer..seems they played mvp and looked at the otehr two..how come they said that the graphics of mvp are the best..i have mvp for ps2, and it isnt the best by far...maybe if you get the pc version in a 1600x1200 resolution, than problaby will be the best...but in ps2 like blazer said mlb2006 graphixs are by far the best..and for xbox mlb2k5 has to win...about gameplay, i think its dificult to say, cause everyone adapts better to a diferent kind..i wont hide that for my tast mlb2006 is the bestm but others may think diferent, its ok.. but for sure that review were a bit influently towards mvp...

Just his opinion. I look at MVP and, although I think the animations are really good, the player models, IMO, aren't. All reviews are subjective. People have their personal opinions and are guided by them. People who like MVP will say it's the best, people who like MLB2006 will say it's the best, etc., etc.
There's no definite about it.

All three games have something great to offer gamers. All three are flawed.
It can debated until heck freezes over, but again, there is nothing definite about any reviewers choice.

Compared side by side, MVP in 720 is absolutely STUNNING. While the PRESENTATION is stunning for MLB 2k5, that's pretty much where it stops. The animation is so damn jerky and full of "pop." And we're talking XBox here. Don't get me started on PC...

And "video clip" coverage? To be honest with you, I didn't even care what else was there aside from the WRITTEN content. While Joe Schmoe might care about videos, if you're trying to discern if this article makes valid points or not, you, should not. Simple as that.

It has nothing to do with people who like so and so will say it's the best. It's a comparison, and a large portion of the comments hold merit. If you're going to debate things, debate them with solid comments not a "it's all subjective" cop out.

Maybe I am blind or something, but when I played MVP in 720 at a friends house it looked absolutely horrible, much worse than playing it on my 33" TV.
