IS there a good PS2 baseball game this year?

I'm reading through all the posts and message boards on this site and others, and I've come to this conclusion: they may not be an acceptable basbeall game this year.

Let me break it down:

MVP 2005: Great game, but with all of the improvements it feels the same as last year. And for those of us who have played last years to death, it can get old pretty fast.

ESPN 2K5:A great presentation that's full of bugs and glitches. And visually, player faces and animations aren't as strong as the other two games this year.

MLB 2006: Sounds like the best baseball game of the year, but it freezes. Too bad.

So between getting tired quickly of MVP, the glitches and bugs in ESPN, and the freezing of MLB, are we stuck without a decent ball game this year, or are we all forced to settle for mediocrity?

I played all three...I will not give impressions but lets just say I can deal with freezing of mlb 2006....

1. MLB 2006 2. MVP 3. ESPN 2K5
The only thing I would say though if you choose to have a fast playing game then go with mvp...If you want to feel like you are playing a baseball game and I mean a real game go with MLB.....

I've had 2 freezes on MLB and that was because I was frustrated at striking out with the tying run in scoring position and kept pounding the X to get to the next scene.

Play it every night, at least 2 games sometimes 3... (Sometimes insomnia is a blessing )

I have MVP and it's a good game but like you said, a lot like last years. MLB is my pick.

If you are not a franchise-nut ESPN is the way to go. Gameplay wise, it is just a brilliant sports title. Leaves the other 2 in the dust, IMO (but I game almost exclusively online, so that's where I'm coming from).
