Using the A Button to dive/jump

I had picked up WS 2K3 a while back to try it out and I finally got around to actually playing it the other day. One of the things that jumped out at me is that the fielding engine seems to be much smoother/cleaner. Anyway, it got me to thinking about maybe using the A Button in 2K5 for jumps and dives instead of the analog stick. I thought this might fix the super dives/jumps because as the manual says the analog stick is pressure sensitive where the A button isn't. Well, I played around and it seems like the jump/dives are much more normal looking than with the analog stick. I was wondering if anyone else would give this a try and tell me what they think so that I know it's not just my eyes.

Re: Using the A Button to dive/jump

The Jump/Dive in 2K5 is beyond ridiculous, so I’m sure anything in 2K3 is an improvement from a realism perspective. I lowered all my team’s J/D ratings to 1 and it makes no difference whatsoever -- guys still fly 20 feet horizontally @ 75 mph. Someone on the 2K forums mentioned that lowering the Fielder Speed slider makes a difference, but I haven’t tried it.

Huh, I just pulled out 2k3 yesterday and was playing it. I was suprised how much I liked it even a year later (since playing it) What I couldn't stand though was outdated rosters. think 2k3's animations were done well but they just didn't have that many. I'm kinda wondering how the gameplay in 2k5 compares to 2k3. Thanks.
