    Quick Question about Confidence

With regards to the season/franchise confidence bug, where confidence will drop to 0 for all players on teams who's games are quick simmed...

Does it seem to matter? Does the game play noticably different? Does it make it too easy for the player to strike out hitters with 0 confidence? Guess I'm just curious if people think this is a game killer.

Game play is NOTICEABLY different when players have high or low confidence, especially pitchers.

Is that how it works? When you quick-sim, their confidence becomes 0?

Good thing I play every game.

Thanks for the reply, looks like I might stick with MVP for season mode then...

Yeah, in a season, if you quick sim CPU games, their confidence will be 0 when you play them. I verified this myself last night, but noticed that teams had reasonable stats still, so I thought maybe 0 confidence wasn't that big of a deal.

The workaround (too much of a pain IMO) is to set every team to USER control and manually sim every single CPU-CPU or CPU-USER game (meaning start the game, pause, sim to end, quit, repeat...). It's kind of a drag really, because I really like this game...

Well, it's not the biggest deal, only when pitching. What I mean is that you can tell if somebody has high confidence or not. Intangibly, somebody is hitting well like he has high coinfidence, but it's still at 0. It takes a while for it to change visibly, even though it already has, intangibly, changed.

Like, it won't be so drastic that you'll have to blame a player's lack of success because of their confidence, because I get hits either way... it's the amount of wood that you get on the bat that I notice the most.

        Strange, eh?

Yeah, I may give a season a shot anyway... I'm not the best player, so maybe having the CPU batters come into the game with low confidence might be the perfect equalizer I need...
