I've been liking this game forever. Let me tell you something... this is the QUICKEST that I've ever played a video game in terms of games played so far. I got this game the day... the hour... of release. I've played my Reds franchise ever since then. I play 162 games a season, and I'm on my second season, already through 47 games.

That means I've already played a grand total of AT LEAT 209 games on MLB 2K5. And then, I've played much more through Exhibition and stuff. I never find a game more addicting then something like this, or ESPN NFL 2K5, or GTA: San Andreas.

My 100+ hours have EASILY already been consumed just playing this game. Great stuff!

I rented MLB 2006 and will be getting it later this week or early next week (online)...unless the game is as good as people have said then MLB is my favorite baseball game of the year.

Though I'm not that into baseball, that game does intrigue me so much. I see the potential with this game which really makes me interested in what it'll look like next gen. Honestly, I bought this game and it kind of was lacking on me, but it had some good stuff. They didn't have a good backing money-wise right? Now they have more money at their disposal and also the possibility to have more people working on it. Oh, I can see myself falling in love with this joint in the long run....

Yeah if they put enough time and money into it I bet this could be a fantastic 360 title especially. New animations for fielding, an mvp-like pitching system and fix the bugs...that would help the game so much. A career mode like MLB wouldn't be half bad either.

EDIT: A training camp would be cool too (like madden)

The I likes

1. The base runner multitude of camera angles out of the batters box, when you get a hit. I like this aspect of the game.

2. I like the button mashing when you try to get a single or strecth it to a double.

3. Baseburner mode need I say more, ingenious.

4. Commentary, the best I've heard ever in a sports game.

5. I love KZone pitching when you speed up the pitcher interface to about 90 to 95.

6. Pressure, this is awesome, especially when you couple it with a pithcers confidence.

7.SlamZone is cool in a 2 player game with the power and probability lowered to about 10 or 12.

8. Showboat is cool for 2 player games as well, when you have ish talkers playing and taking chances.

9. Custom soundtrack stadium and player, very nice addittion.

10. Crowd sounds and reactions wow just wow.

11. The players are big(compared to MVP) which I like.
Overall this game needs some work on its core game play, time in developement, especially since this will be year 2 for kush will make this game a great experience.

Some of the things that I like as well, are the instant replays they are amazing, the working scoreboard, they are really well done, i just wish they had out of town scoreboards like ASB. The gameplay I think is great, its just those damn stilted animations.

Yeah this game is great despite the flaws. Honestly I expected mos of the flaws for this game considering it was a new developer doing it. I'm already near the end of July in my 2nd season. I'm in a dogfight for the Wild Card but I still have a shot at the division as i'm only trailing the Mets by 5 games.

I will continue to play this game even after I get NCAA and Madden.

Well, I dusted this game off and MLB2006 and took them both for a spin last night.

Played 2006 and did what I usually do in this game, on Veteran level, low score and tons of strikeouts (me). At least it didn't freeze.

Had a real good game with MLB2k5 so I sat down and did some roster updating, creating some of the callups like C.J. Wilson, Milkey Cabrera, etc.

Bottom line thoughts on the best sliders again.....Anyone?

A couple of suggestions: User Batting Contact NO HIGHER than 15 (Power around 50-55). And drop AI Skill until you feel you're seeing too many strikeouts. The lower that slider is, the greater the variety of hits you'll see.

I've said this before, but this game has the potential to be 100 X better than MVP. And I always thought MVP was a preety solid game.

I would love to see, more rt stick controls on the base paths. We have the standard(MVP rip offs) now lets add a head 1st slide, with the ability to pull you hand away from the tag and stick it back out on the backside of the bag.
