I don't know if it's possible for my Hank Blalock to get out anymore...

I haven't exactly totally kept track or anything, but there was a time, after about a month, where he batted .270, had 1 home run, and about 13 RBI. Now, it's about 60 - 70 games into the franchise, and I'm playing as we speak: so far he's 3 for 3 with a HR, 2 2B and 4 RBI.

That's not all. If I were to give you a good estimate, he's been about 25 for his last 30, with about 8 of them as home runs, and almost all of them producing an RBI.

Right now, he has Triple-Crown stats: .380 AVG, 23 HR, 60 RBI in 64 games. Now, these stats have yet to include the ones for this game, increasing everything so far.

I don't want him to do worse right now, but is it possible for him to stop the streak before he starts hitting .500 and easily shatters Bonds' record? Everybody else is hitting... well... normally.

    **UPDATE EDIT**

Blalock is now 4 for 4 after hitting another homerun... that went 503 feet.

    Scares me a little bit.

    **SECOND EDIT**

Well, he ends up being 5 for 6... a triple shy of the cycle, and 7 RBI.

Help me, but don't help me. I mean, I'm all for him and stuff, but this is chaotic!

I’m guessing his confidence is skyrocketing. That’s why I feel playing a season and manually simming cpu games, in order to have confidence reset to default every game, is the only way to go.

But, but... I can't! I play each and every game!

By the way, he ended up the next game 4 for 5 with 2 home runs and 2 RBI. He's now batting .399 on the year!

Well, I guess it is possible to hit over .400 as it has been done before, but not to also put up Triple Crown numbers at the same time! The only person I ever thought would ever be able to do that was Barry Bonds, not Hank Blalock.

Oh well, I guess he just progressed?

I'm talking about cpu vs cpu games. If you gamecast-sim every cpu vs cpu game, right from the start of the season, confidence will always reset to default for every game. And you don't have to sim the whole game. Just start it up, then immediately quit and exit. Takes 20 seconds.

And PITCHERS in this game turn into Barry Bonds on steroids – (Oh wait… he already is! ;-) – when they’re pitching well and their confidence is way up.

I don't understand how I can do CPU vs CPU games. It doesn't allow me to... it only allows me to simulate them.

It's only possible in season mode -- controlling all teams.

Time to now do a game-by-game log of Blalock after his 5 for 6 performance, just to get exact stats:

              Game 1: 5 for 6, 2 HR, 2 2B, 7 RBI
              Game 2: 4 for 5, 2 HR, 2 R, 2 RBI
              Game 3: 0 for 4, RBI

I'm about 60 games into my franchise. Bonds were hitting .497. Now he is something like .485...

The other players are hitting ok, except for Matheny, .240 or something like that.

Bonds is leading almost every Offensive stat.

One thing that i can't understand is why the CPU could hit Jason Schmidt so well. He had an ERA over 5.00 and had a losing record. I traded him to the Blue Jays for Halladay, first game he had 6 Ks pitching 7 IP.
