Will the big three problems in WSB get fixed?

Everyone who has played WSB is probably aware of the three big problems: CPU hitting, CPU base running, and stealing bases were too easy. Will these problems be fixed in the next game? I think it would help if the game included sliders. Will it include game play sliders?

Although online play would be sweet, I would rather they shore up the baserunning issue and a few other things. It sounds like they are going to make the double play more functional, and the addition of offline throws has the possibility to be good. They really need to ramp up the aggressiveness of the AI runners so that there are more exciting bang bang plays. It's been a long time since felt any excitement over trying to gun a runner at the plate in a baseball game.

I had no idea those were the big three. What about far fetched CPU trades? What about the rainbow lobs? What about Strikeout pitchers not getting strikeouts?

Yeah, the MOJOR problem was the strike zone. Balls that even grazed the zone(by a hair) were called strikes. So there were little to no walks.

I agree 100%. This was extremely annoying to me. Even if a tiny piece of the ball touched the zone, it was called a strike. This lead to absolutely no walks and pitchers who could throw a complete game in 60 pitches or less. Very unrealistics IMO.

Except the problem is that even if it does graze the zone, technically it is a strike. Where it gets tricky though, is what is the best way to solve this? Should the umpires blow calls on occasion, or call balls on pitches that technically should have been strikes? I can already see the posts now complaining about that if it were the case. I honestly don't know what the best solution to this is.

Shrink the strike zone. Hell, the real umpires do it.

I'd like to see it implemented from a realism standpoint. Of course, I can just picture all the "WSB cheats by giving the CPU better calls at the plate" threads.

If the game changed things to make it that at least half the ball had to be in the strike zone, I think you'd see a big improvement.

Yes if the ball hits any part of the zone even by the littlest of hairs its still a strike but in WSB case the strike zone is to BIG its from the neck to the knees and sometimes lower (WSB)

It appears that sega has made a good hockey, football and basketball game. It is time that step and please baseball fans. The only reason that HH got the reviews that it did was the game play, everything else was average to below average. I think it is pretty obvious that if sega was to pit eye candy that VC is capable of with the realism of HH, sega would have a winner. I think one of the problems I have is that when you are using cursor based batting systems is once you have mastered it, anyone of your players can hit 60+ HR. It is not based ability but rather player skill. There are plenty of arcade type baseball games on the market. If sega could at least find a compromise between the two. But too shorten down in one word add sliders
