How is MLB2K5 for the XBOX? Is it a better game than MVP?

If you don't want to read all of the top stuff, read the bottom stuff for my scores and reasonings for them. I believe that later in the thread I explained my reasoning for the overall score. If I didn't, I'll let you know why it is what it is.

Very nice review. I've been bored with MVP this year. I played MLB which was cool, but there is a glitch that wrecks the entire game.

I was thinking about picking up MLB2K5. Thanks

        Candyman,

It's a pretty solid game with some getting used to especially the new baserunning skeme. It drove me nuts for awile, but after you do practice it becomes second nature. The passed ball problem is fixed with the AI ERROR slider on 45 (don't know why, but it fixes it).

Also check out the wealth of rosters available.

LOL believe me candyman... this game is so appealing to me, your signature will be removed long before I'm finished with it.

            That's too funny.

I think I'm going to go and pick this game up today and just sell MVP on ebay. MVP still sells for $10-25 on ebay depending on how lucky you get.

I love NFL2K5. It seems like 2Ksports has the consumer in mind with their games as EA has their pockets in mind.

I guess I'm just going to wait and see how the World Series Edition is all about.

That's a good idea. If you can wait a month, it sounds like it may be the right way to go.

MLB 2k5 isn't a bad game, just it's not better then MVP 2005 , plain and simple. Im also curious about the "World Series edtion" after seeing it on ebgames.com
18-1 hell of a season regardless

If they could tone down the line drives to the pitcher, who makes clean plays and trump up the animations of the fielders moving realistically to a ball and then once fielded, the throw to the bags, those would be huge improvements. I love the K-Zone pitching mechanism.
