I think the price is set at $24.99. There better be some serious improvements if the game is gonna be more expensive than the original 2K5. Either way I'll prolly get it cause I love baseball games, though it's very strange that it's about a month away from release and there are no screens and practically no information.

I don't think that the license agreement goes into effect until '06.
If you mean for ESPN, I'm preety sure it does. Just look at NBA 2k6 and NHL 2k6...

That, or they're just losing it early to sell their name now by 360 launch (and for 2K7 games, makes life easier).

I wonder if this will just include the 2005 MLB Playoffs and World Series.

Who knows? Maybe it's more than that.

Actually, it is. It does have World Series elements. Nobody said you had to buy it. IMO, I think it's for the crowd that didn't buy it the first time around, and it added a mode/feature/however it's implemented along with the original game (possibly even working on 2K Sports presentation stuff), so adding $5 more onto the price tag. I don't think that their target is for the people that have already bought it. Who would do that?

I actually might... depending on what else they add. I don't know if it will be much, because they still have 2K6 in 5 or 6 more months. Whatever they do, IMO it's not a stupid move. Just because you won't buy it, doesn't mean a good 70,000 people wouldn't buy it (and that's thinking very small). It's a business... they do what they can to make money. If it's make two games a year, so be it. You don't have to be a part of it... they're just doing it for the people that would.

They should have everyone trade in the first game and get the new one for free! It is the least they could do for making everyone jump throw hoops to make the game work properly with all the adjustments that had to be made!

Re: Check out this listing at EBgames, what is this?

I disagree. They brought this game out at $20.00. Shouldn't MLB, MVP, etc. bring the game out next year for free because of the bugs/glitches, etc? Shouldn't they reduce the price by $30.00 to compensate for the freezes, etc., etc. Every game this year had its share of bug.

Nobody has to buy this game. Everyone should wait and see what the "status" of the update is before they think about buying the game.

For the total price you are getting two games for one. I myself wish the other companies would drop their prices to $20 and then issue another one the same year. Especially if bugs/glitches are taken out.

We really don't know what they will offer. If it's just the same game and they've added some type of World Series gadget, I'll pass, but others, for the price might like this idea. We'll just have to wait and see.

I don't really care if there are new elements added to give it a World Series feel or whatever, I just hope they fix the gameplay and glitches. And especially the batting cursor. PLEASE make it like the past where you can move the R-stick, let go and have the cursor stay there instead of going back to the middle/default point of the strike zone a la the pitching cursor.

Nobody really knows what this title is gonna offer. 2KSPORTS has made no comment on this yet. Supposedly they will say something about it in the next couple of weeks.

So for people to post that they read it was a Roster-Update wtih bug/glitch fiixes is not cool..

Maybe some of the extra $5 is because of the DVD the guy on the other forum talked about.
