What is 2Ksports DOING?, why remake MLB 2K5?.

Just wait until MARCH and work on MLB 2K6, i know MLB 2K5 is pretty much the worst game out this year, behind MVP(IMO) but i dont think they should remake MLB 2K5, it is a waste of money and dev time for MLB 2K6.

They probably felt like they need to give the fans something better and i agree BUT save it for MLB 2K6, dont bother with this remake of 2k5. i

I think if they patched up some of the more glaring problems with 2k5 then it's a great idea. It's been 6-7 months since the original 2k5 was finished so that's plenty of time to give us one last helping on the current-gen systems as I'm sure 2k6 will be only for the next-gen consoles. Plus they didn't make a football title this year so they have more available time this summer than in any past year.

I'm having tons of fun with MVP this year, but I still don't like the hitting system and it's a bit too arcady IMO. I'm always a 2k guy at heart and I'd love to see what they bring to the table with this title since 2k5 was such garbage and even they knew it.

      That's subjective.

They only charged us $19.95 for the first one. If they want to fix somethings (and that will remain to be seen) and are releasing the next one for $24.95, it's still cheaper than buying one game that, for example, freezes when you're playing.

Nobody has to buy it. I don't think they are going to release the same old game as a roster update. Perhaps wait and see. Don't buy the game if it was the worst game, sit back and see what people say who are going to buy it.

They'd be doing themselves a big disfavor if they released it as just a roster update. I don't think they're going to do it.

I enjoyed the game (with some admitted frustration) and if they can update it with fixes, I'll be in winterball heaven.

Well when they signed their agreement with MLB they ddi say that they would be releasing more editions then traditionally done. I would hope that since this is a WS edition that maybe we could get to play some classic World Series' as well as an added bonus.

Ah, it all makes sense now. Fix MLB2k5 and add roster updates for the current generation consoles and then only put out 2k6 on the next gen consoles. Could be.

Not making sense because there will be a lot of people who aren't getting that next-gen until the PS3 might drop. I know that I'd definitely be wanting to get this version for the patch-ups and getting the next one on the current-gen for the cheaper price....

As luv mist said that won't make much sense. A lot of the casual gamers won't get the next gen systerms til it's been out for a year or so. They may put more time on the next gen versions but i'm betting you dollars to donuts there'll be a 2k6 for the current gen.

Hmm, I thought it makes sense. Stop making the game for current generations which sells for 19.99 or less but throw them a bone for a fixed MLB2k5 for 24.99 and then start selling MLB2k6 in the spring for the next gen consoles for 59.99 or 69.99. I guess only time will tell.

I don't know. If they did that, they would piss off a lot of people (myself included). Unlike a seemingly large number of people on this board, I don't have oodles of money to plunk down for a next gen system (nor do I have mom and dad to hit up for the money). The only reason I'm considering giving 2k6 a shot is because it's the only option, and most of the games coming out of these guys are good. If they're going to feed me recycled 2k5, then forget it.

if they fixed the damn glitches this game would be just as good as mvp.

the ps2 will be around a bit after this console switch. the ps1 was looking at its last madden for about 3 or 4 years. i think 2004 or 05 was the last year they made a ps2 madden. and these ps2 or xbox games are quite satisfying to most gamers.

They have done this before with the Dreamcast. But the High Heat source code is floating around somewhere and someone bought the rights to it it I forget who. And if I remember correctly them bums who made All Star Baseball Akklaim are now working for Sega.
