    MLB2K5: WSB Not Enough

Does everyone else feel the same that 2KSports hasn't provided us with enough information on this game. We get the following features which I think will be a great addition.

    1. Great World Series Moments – Re-live or re-write history as you take on 10 of the greatest moments in World Series History, including the 86 Mets, the Battle of the Bay and more.

    2. Pennant Fever Mode – 2 games out or 8 games out, take your favorite MLB franchise all the way to the World Series™ during the most exciting part of the MLB season. Team records are locked in to match the real-life ’05 Pennant Race!

    3. Updated Rosters – Updated ’05 All-Star team rosters and fully updated team rosters let you enjoy the late season excitement in all its glory.

    4. Custom MLB DVD – 45 minutes showing the real-life World Series situations featured in our World Series mode. The greatest compilation of pivotal World Series moments ever!

    5. Top Notch Gameplay – Including On Command Baserunning™, Online Leagues, Skybox mode and the best commentary available featuring Jon Miller and Joe Morgan.

    6. 2KSports Presentation - ESPN Presentation has been replaced with all new 2KSports Presentation.

Why not mention that the bugs are getting fixed in the process. It might be a bad marketing decision, but it will secure more sales that people know the problems from before are fixed.

I think the two most important things they need to mention are:

    - Will we be able to load all of our files that had been previously saved from MLB 2K5?
    - Have the past stadiums been included? Like, for the Battle of the Bay, will we be playing at SBC Park or at Candlestick Park?

The rest... well, after the passed ball bug, I haven't really been too annoyed with anything glitch-wise. Other things I may want to take note in are things like how accurate the rosters are, if they'll use the new online leagues, etc.

The more I think about it, the less likely I am to buy this. Sorta dissappointing, but I won't pass any judgement yet. I'll see what happens when it comes out.

Does anyone know if there have been any tweaks to gameplay or animations, etc?

This is what I wonder also. I didn't buy the game back in Feb or March whenever it was released since I bought MVP. I'm considering get this World Series edition.

I would think that would have fixed the bugs. Why release an updated game with the same problems especially from VC. I think we might be all good.

I'd imagine they took out some bugs such as the pass-ball glitch, etc.

But I'm not expecting anything major. For me to get this game they need to have...

            - One button swinging
            - Ability to turn off the strike zone box
            - No pass balls
            - No more insane dives by the infielders

I'd love for them to fix the swing animation since it's awful, but I'm not holding my breath. I'll wait and see what the OS consensus is on the game before I make my decision on getting it.

I don't know about the bugs because I haven't played this game this year (MVP and MLB for me), but I think this mode sounds fun. I wonder what the start date on this mode is?

With a mode like that, this game should have been release three weeks ago. There are going to be at the most four teams left playing in real life when this game is released, making it's target audience even smaller. Everyone will be focusing on the LCS, not the pennant chase, when this game comes out.

If they released this game Sept. 20th for example, you'd get extra fans from Cleveland, Philly, etc interested in the game.

Plus, I find it hard to believe that teams are "locked-in" to the '05 season records. So that means if you like any team besides the 8 who made the post season plus Philly or the Indians then there is absolutely no point in buying this game.

After completing the pennant fever mode does it take you into a franchise mode offseason or does it just end?

yeah I can see how it doesn't have much appeal this late in the season. If you were able to start at anytime during the season, like after the all star break, and it would have the right records, it would be fun to take a team like the Royals and see what you can do though. It probably isn't set up to do that though. I still think it could be fun, especially if it takes you onto the next year of the franchise. I doubt it does that though, but it would be nice.

I agree. At least release it for the start of the playoffs. Thier timing is off.

But here's hoping they fix some of the feilding animations, turn off the strike zone, and fix the glitch where you can't see the guy stealing 2nd base when using the Behind Pitcher Cam.

Yep, let's hope. I can't imagine they didn't fix SOMETHING.

I'm chompin' at the bits to do a roster for this one. I've got a $17.00 credit at Gamestop and have a few games to trade in, so it will essentially be a freebie for me, but i'm pickin' it up regardless.

Is there a normal Franchise mode in this game? Also, will you be able to edit rosters? It might be worth a pickup just so you can have fairly accurate offseason rosters. If they are accurate as of September, then I'll be foaming at the mouth to make FA changes, but if it just like after the trade deadline, it loses appeal.
