I was never clear why it's a problem “holding" the cursor in place, instead of the old system of setting it in one spot and leaving it. Doesn't seem much different, and if anything, having to hold it seems more realistic and translates as more “involvement” in the at-bat.

It's not even that it's not free-roaming in 2k5, it's that it's so damn sloppy and rigid. If they made it as smooth as 2k4 and prior years I wouldn't care, but it's awful in 2k5. Plus with a free-roaming cursor I used it as my strategy to hit. Either you could leave it in one spot where you were looking for a pitch (eg: the hitters' eye in 2k5) or what I did sometimes was start off with the cursor aimed right where the pitcher would release the ball from his hand, then follow its movement all the way to the plate with the cursor. You can't do that in 2k5 because the cursor is such a mess.

In fact, I couldn't even play w. the cursor this year. I had to switch to the true-aim hitting, which I've never been a fan of.

Right, I see what you mean. I've tried that, and it's incredibly tough. You are aware that with Cursor hitting, Batter Contact has to be raised up into the 80 range, just to be on par with True Swing difficulty set at 25-30?

So what are the things you are gonna look for? I really dont expect there to be new animations, because its not a "new" Game. I just want the big glitches to be gone, you know playing with mets, you make a trade and the lineup gets all FUBAR. Thats the onlything i hated about this game.

Oh and tell me how sweet the DVD is.

BTW: I don’t mow the lawn during the three weeks leading up to Halloween. I figure the rattier looking the yard, the fewer the people who bother walking up to the door, meaning the more mini-bags of Doritos I get to eat come November 1st.

too funny..... i think i will stalk the local Gamestop/EB stores till it comes in....haha.. cant wait to "re live" the 86 series again..
