    Pitcher fatigue/rested issue?

Can anyone confirm if this problem with the updated WS Edition:

Every pitcher is a full rest/health at the start of every game even if he pitched a complete game the day before.

I tried starting a franchise in this new edition and this issue still seems to be there. I used Lopez on Baltimore to pitch the first game (complete game) and the next day it said that he was "rested" and his health was "fine". Is there another field that that shows that this pitcher is too fatigued to start? Am I correct in stating that this has not been fixed?

This was a problem with position players as well, and it was such a seemingly large issue that I'm amazed no one has reported whether it was fixed or not. The only thing I can think of is that people may not know where to look.....

Looking at the pitchers status (Rested, Fine, Exhausted, etc.) is one way to tell, but there is another way that shows position player fatigue as well:

NOTE: This will take a little time because it requires playing a franchise game - both fatigue and confidence worked fine last year during simmed games. User-played games are what caused the problem, and are therefore what I'm trying to check.

    -Start a franchise

-Play a game (NOT SIMMED), but try to make sure the next day isn't an off day

-Choose to play the next game, and continue to the lineup screen (the last screen before the actual game starts)

-While a player is highlighted, press Circle (or whatever button for XBOX - the help menu at the bottom of the screen shows it) to bring up the player's info screen. Toward the bottom of this window will be a bar called "Health". THAT IS FATIGUE. You can scroll through the rest of the players with the L and R triggers, and most (if not all) should NOT have a full bar. It shouldn't be a large amount of fatigue given that it's only one game, but it should be noticeable. If they all have full bars, we're probably faced with the same problem as 2k5.

Please, anyone who has time to check this let me know how it turns out.

It's like 2KSports has made an arcade fans dream.

Ugh.....well, that's the death knell for me on this game. If that's not fixed, I can assume position fatigue isn't either (or confidence for that matter - same glitch). Things like this absolutely kill a franchise mode.

Thanks for the disappointing, but necessary info.

I actually think their NHL game (especially this year's) is a very solid title for sim/arcade alike, and I've heard the NBA one is too (save for a weird man-to-man matchup glitch). But the MLB game is substandard in a number of ways, and knowing that EA is put out of the market on the one game they're good at (my opinion) really worries me for the future MLB games.

Fortunately if all else fails, MVP '05 seems like it could have some long-lasting replay value for me, like High Heat did.

For what it’s worth: Both pitcher and batter fatigue register and accumulate when games are simmed. Find a 5-6 game stretch in your schedule, sim the first 4, then choose to play the next game. In the lineup screen, click R thumbstick, and you’ll see your starting fielders are all beginning to tire.

Fatigue doesn’t register and accumulate when games are played, unfortunately and stupidly considering the game's been released twice now, and both times with the same dang problem.

                Re: Pitcher fatigue/rested issue?

Tried an experiment (MLB 2K5 original version, not WSE): I’m playing a season, so I counted the number of pitches my starter threw before his fatigue indicator turned red: 68. Then I stuck him in as the starter for the next game, and his fatigue indicator turned red after 44 pitches. So it’s the readiness indictor in the bullpen screen is that’s broken, and fatigue carryover does work to a degree – although he probably shouldn’t have been able to pitch anymore than 20-25 pitches before tiring that second night.
