Did they ADD a NEW FIELDING CAM angle??

One of the things that annoyed me with ESPN 2K5 this year was the fielding camera....it seemed to be too close to the field. I felt like I was right ontop of the outfielders as they played the balls. Which made all their stiff movements even look more quirky. I was wondering if they now added a few more camera angles to see hits from a more zoomed out gameplay mode?

Did they fix the loopy way outfielders threw balls to the bases?

    Any new, cooler, tighter animations?

Also, can someone tell me how they really feel overall with this new WS edition versus the ESPN 2K5 edition.....enough added/fixed to make it worth it for you?

What I loved about home run king and world series 2k1 was when you hit a fly ball the baseball was always in sight and the camera lifted with the ball giving you a great view over the wall. They need to incorporate that camera into the game.

Total waste of a release!!! They should have spent their time and money into developing next years release instead of playing around with this.

They suckered us into buying this game. It's nice and all, but I could have continued playing MVP till MLB2K6.

Yes, they did waste a release here as many of the problems that I have read about were never fixed.

The more that I play this game I can see a lot of the problems from the first game. This is a shame that they wasted a release like this to hook people into their game.

This is why I feel like EA should have won the baseball bidding war while VC should have won the football bidding war.

guys, not to change the subject, but I think I got my answer pretty loud and clear about the World Series Edition of 2K5 ( which stinks! )

.....However, I have been fortunate enough to have a PS2 as well and let me just say that I was actually VERY impressed with MLB 2006. I think the game has taken the best elements from the old High Heat series, ALL Star Baseball, MVP and World Series baseball and rolled out the best baseball game this year....perhaps ever made ( yes I just said that )

Yes, even better then MVP. The animations are lifelike and very fluid. Control is tight and enjoyable to play the field. Pitching and batting animations are the best of all the games. The feel of hitting is very rewarding. And the Franchise mode is insanely well thought out, intuitive and deep. Plus it even takes the fun backpage newspaper summary element from Baseball Mogul!!

This game surprised me all the way this year. I like MVP alot, I liked HomeRun King for the Gamecube a few years ago, but MLB 2006 has completely won me over and fulfilled my Baseball dreams for now and just might possiblly inspire me to get a Playstation 3 when they come out with the next baseball game....You owe it to yourselves to check this game out if you have a PS2!

I thought that MLB2006 was great also, but the bugs really wrecked the game for me. Yes, I do agree with you that 989 rolled the best of all bball games into this one.

It's a real shame that the game kept on freezing on me because I thought it was the best this year.

Have you had any problems at all?

Mlb 2006 was my favorite baseball game this year. I did not have a freezing problem so I was able to enjoy it a little more than others. My biggest problem is the roster management and I hope that gets cleared up. Mvp was my second favorite and I have recently started playing it again. Mlb 2k5 was just a complete failure for me and I am very thankful that it is not the only MLB game next season.

VC released 2 half@ssed baseball games this year. I really can't believe that they didn't get this right the second time around. Hopefully the 3rd time is the charm with MLB 2K6.

And this one was probably the worst of the lot. It coulda been, shoulda been, wasn't. Sweetest double play turn you'd ever see, but....

dont think Im crazy...but actually boiling the MLB 2006 game in a pot of water fixed the freezing problems I was having.

dont ask...just look in the MLB 2006 forum and search for my posts on the subject, you'll get all the details there

As long as “Keep Fielder in View” in “Presentation” is ON, the fielding cam looks and works great IMO.
