I am too impatient and cant wait for the 2k6 edition to come out so i was wondering how much different the world series edition is that the regular and if its worth buying. Thanks for any input

Here's a few things:

1) Legendary Players

2) Strike Zone Option

3) No Passed Balls

4) A Few Better Player animations ( Better Throws )

5) I Haven't Had a Freezing Problem Yet. ( 90 Games Played So far )

I know I'm going against the grain but to me it's a better game, I have no Regrets buying it!

Well if you don't already have MVP 2005 you might want to give that a try. I am sure you can get it fairly cheap and IMO it plays a much better game of baseball than 2K5.

imo, its worth the $$$. the pennant fever mode is really an original concept for a sports game. u can play out the remainder of the season based on what was really happening this year. so u could use the phillies and battle it out with houston and florida for the NL wildcard. its really an awesome mode, and something that has made me continue to play this deep into the off season for baseball.

i know they fixed some of the bugs from the original and have all the rosters updated. i did see some post about bobby jenks not on the chi sox, but it havent checked so im not sure.

i played the original release to death online (over 500 games) and they improved, tweaked and polished what was wrong in that one and added a bunch of new content. id slap the $$$ down for it. it will definately hold u over till the 2k6 version of the game.

The thing that really bothered me about the original release of 2k5 was the ugly throwing animations. I couldn't stand watching infielders throw like girls. Was it fixed in the World Series Edition??

And second, is there a recent roster update available??

I just know they didn't fix the double switch bug, and until they do, I can't take this series seriously. How am I expected to use an NL team and just wasting guys off the bench because of a bug?

Thought WSE would fix it, but didn't. I'll be honest, I don't expect 2k6 to fix it either.

I bought the original version and it froze so often I couldn't even play one game without having to reset it. It wasn't like that at first - it got worse and worse the more I played it (which wasn't THAT often because I was finishing up school at the time).

Anyway, I just want to know when ML2k6 is coming out for XBOX? If it comes out in March, then I might wait, but any later and I might go get the World Series edition. I'm a baseball video game fanatic and after trying to play MVP 05 last year, I just need to play some solid baseball again. Please. MVP sucks, you hit a homerun like every 50 games played. Awful.

The freeze must have just meant it was a faulty game... or that you have a faulty Xbox. This game does not have multiple freeze issues like that of MLB 2006. You should have probably tried returning it for another one.
