Take Two
Take Two, is in a financial crisis, with this in mind, how long do you think they will be able to hold onto VC and its subs before they have to sell some assets. And, with the possibilty of selling VC as a means too an end, will they allow the MLB license go along with it? This is all speculation of course, but if you've current you will realize that their stock is selling for only $13.52 as of Wednesday of this past week, amongst other things. Who would you sell it too? Possibilities EA, they can stack their deck with great sports game developers combining the two, ect... Your Thoughts?Tags: None -

I would think if anyone it might aswell be EA.Originally posted by backbreakerTake Two, is in a financial crisis, with this in mind, how long do you think they will be able to hold onto VC and its subs before they have to sell some assets. Re: Take Two
EA would fire everyone with a creative bone in their body and hire talentless Yes-men and women who would proceed to turn EA's baseball franchise into the same lame game that Madden -- as a result of having no competition -- has become. EA has one thing in mind: to make games that 10 year-olds will purchase. They're not interested in sim games, and least of all they couldn't give a fig about gamers, other than catering to those age groups that will buy their games.Originally posted by backbreakerEA, they can stack their deck with great sports game developers combining the two, ect... Re: Take Two
The problem here though is that you make it seem like EA is a person. It just depends on who the project manager is, who the executive producer is, president... etc. I agree on the part with Madden, but then MVP is a completely different story. So, I guess it just depends on who the developer is (Tiburon for Madden).Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: Take Two
I consider EA a person when it comes to graphics... They aren't bad, but they aren't real... They are always cartoon styled in every EA game (even fight night to a lesser extent, which looks great on 360) So that same darn guy keeps popping out sunday morning comic graphics for all of EA's games... If He was fired, then i'd be happy...Originally posted by BlzerThe problem here though is that you make it seem like EA is a person. Take-Two is the mother company, they own Rockstar, and VC is also owned by Take-Two, again Take-Two is the mother company. BTW since when was Take-Two doing bad finanically?Comment

They've been doing terrible for approx 6 months now. Their stock dropped 19% just yesterday. The CEO left and another high ranking individual jumped ship as well.Originally posted by StriderNo9Take-Two is the mother company, they own Rockstar, and VC is also owned by Take-Two, again Take-Two is the mother company. This is from another site:
--the company is burning cash at an "alarming" rate
--they believe an SEC investigation (another one) could be forthcoming
--they believe that Take Two's legal counsel could be next to resign (HUGE sign that their are some serious problems)
--"our work on Take-Two leads us to believe that serious problems surround the company's governance"
Essentially they've significantly missed all their target numbers for the last few quarters and appear to have some problems inside (Speculation over accounting fraud is why the SEC is investigating).

They still have a top-secret non-sports 360 game that they're hiring for.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: Take Two
This is just crazy talk, Visual Concepts wouldn't work for EA, most of those people left EA in the first place to form VC. If Take-Two did sell VC to EA, pretty much all of VC would quit and form their own independent company again.Comment
