    Gamespot preview up...

GameSpot is the world's largest source for PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U, PS Vita, Wii PC, 3DS, PSP, DS, video game news, reviews, previews, trailers, walkthroughs, and more.

It was ok. They went into a lot of depth about IE and VIP. So check it out...

There is also a vid of a Dev interview on the right hand side.

You should all download or watch the interview... He talks about the game but while doing so, gamespot shows you about 5 minutes of pure gameplay... You can really get a better feel for the game instead of those short quick clips...

I thought it looked a lot better and pretty smooth. Check it out!

It's weird... I have mixed feelings about animations. I mean, I definitely enjoy most of the new ones, but it still feels like the outfield is too quick (running, throwing, etc). Hopefully, we can adjust outfield throwing sliders this time... that, or hopefully editing players is as simple as WSB 2K3 and ESPN MLB.

I'm sure sliders will help if you need to make adjustments, although there was a few times in the video where I thought an outfielder was going to make a diving catch (like 2k5) and instead they came up short. I was pretty happy to see that.

Wait just a minute.....The guy said they improved on the throwing animations but I still see the same girly throws all over that video. I thought that if you rushed the throws THEN the animation would look like last year's but if you took your time to set in position then the animation would be good. But in that video, the fielders were throwing like girls even when they caught a pop up and was just throwing to the relay man.

And it seem that when the fielders are throwing the ball their bodies are facing somewhere else.

          For shame.

I didn't see many bad throws... Look for example of like 4:00 minutes in the video after he dives and misses. The throw fromt the outfileder who backs him up looks pretty good to me...

Yeah, I'm starting to get very excited about this game and some of the new changes. I just hope I'm not getting amped only to be let down again.

Look at 6:00 where the outfielder is throwing to 2nd. His body is facing one way and he's throwing like he's a sidearm pitcher.

Look at 1:03 where the 3rd baseman gets a grounder and throws while he's standing still, He should be set in position to throw with force. How can you throw to first just by standing still?

Look at 5:48 where the outfielder throws but ball is rising and floating

And lets not forget the Momma jokes.

At 1:03 he did an ever so slight tiny baby hop thing and threw it. The throw itself was fine, but the step could have been more defined.

5:48 yeah, he took the correct steps there but the ball does have a high arc. I don't know where he is throwing though. If it's to first (for some reason) then maybe but that arc is too high yeah...

6:00 didn't really both me, because it looked like he caught it on an in-between/short hop and his momentum sort of carried him forward a bit... Plus we know those odd hops can mess with fielders at times. Didn't both me much, but I can see your point.

I actually laughed at the Mamma jokes part... I don't use the franchise so I don't know if people will use them or not. But it was funny to read a response that said "I don't find 'Yo Mamma So Fat' jokes to be funny" or "Makin fun of my mamm just aint cool" I thought those were pretty funny.

I know, What the hell were they thinking with that concept? Do they really think that people are going to laugh when they read Pedro is upset and crying because Cliff Floyd dissed his mama?

Another thing that had crossed my mind is... uh, is this trading system what they're talking about more or less a Trade Block? Because I sure hope that other teams will put players and wants up for us to look at ourselves, rather than have us control who we're looking for.

Also, it would be cool if temas progressively would add players to the Trade Block thing that you're searching for. Because, for you to just search for those players and automatically find them is kind of awkward in a way.

I also wish a game would allow us (and the CPU) to take time to accept or reject a trade. By time, I mean within 1 to 10 days, rather than just being right on the spot right there.

Although I'm not getting the 360 version, I'm not worried for it being successful at all.

Interesting read. Why cant the 360 version come out at the same time . I might not have the willpower to wait!

LOL.. Same here, I don't think I am going to be able to wait. I need some new 360 screens to hold me over.

By the way, the gameplay clips of MLB 2K6 in the video are running in a 16:9 widescreen resolution. So, if you're running this in Windows Media Player, you can change the Display from 1 to .75, and you'll get the proper look for what it should look like in widescreen, rather than everything being stretched.
