Originally posted by NoSkillz50You gotta admit though Blzer, they are very gimmicky in general. Instead of focusing on subtle nuances, they take something and make it way over the top, they hype it up like crazy and then it feels like something out of an arcade game. For every step forward they could be taking a step back. I wish they would shelf most of their ideas and just polish this game off. Make it play like real baseball first and fix the animations. They are patronizing too sometimes. Realistic physichs for runners? Are you kidding? This is something that every other game has and something that should be expected, they slap some fancy label on it and act like they deserve an award.Comment

Originally posted by Blzer[I won't say I've said it before, but] MLB 2K5: WSE was not targeted for those that already have MLB 2K5. Granted, if they got those sales... power to them. However, for those that didn't get the game the first go-around got a second chance to go at it. So, if you're saying that the WSE edition was lame because it wasn't quite an add-on to the game at all, then I would agree with you. But that's about as far as the line goes.
If EA did that, people around here would rake them over the coals. When a company is acting in a shabby manner, they need to be called on it. That's why I'm not buying this year's rah-rah hype from them. I still remember the mess that was 2K5, and the ripoff that was WSE.Comment

Re: 5 Months Ago.....2K5:WSE
Originally posted by BlzerI think their biggest problem with WSE was that they never advertised it. I saw every single World Series game, and not once was there a commercial for it. I wonder how they would have sold well at all with that kind of marketing ploy.
As a matter of fact, I don't think I've ever seen an MLB 2K5 commercial either.Comment

They already showed me last year that they were not concerned about addressing problems.Last edited by nemesis04; 02-26-2006, 10:51 AM.“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment

Because you have to remember that they didn't want to detract any time, resources, or developers to continue on with MLB 2K6. I'd be surprised if more than 10 people worked on the World Series Edition. It's not like they spent 6 months on making that, then 6 months on MLB 2K6. It was the exact same game minus ESPN plus World Series features. Remember when I also said that they didn't have to have an option to remove the strike zone... but they did.
I guess I'm not as pissed about it because I didn't buy it, and I already foresaw what the game was going to be all about before buying it.
The one problem that the World Series Edition had was that it did not allow you to load save files from MLB 2K5. Re: 5 Months Ago.....2K5:WSE
Originally posted by BlzerYup. I sure wish they'd change it. As a matter of fact, they should have multiple dynamic sequences for cutscenes for the beginning of a game. I'd love some blimp shots and everything! Perhaps for 360.
If NBA2K6 was an improvement, hopefully this game will be also. I didn't try NHL2K6 on the 360, but I owned it on the XBOX. I heard that the graphics were somewhat of an improvement on the 360. We will see.
At this point I'm more worried about the gameplay.Comment

I think your comment above is funny about hiring some kids off the street. It could be possible. I think that if 2KSports spent more money on their QA staff and actually testing games before release, than bugs/glitches would be caught sooner.Comment
