    That would be utterly sweet!
Now see, that would be something i'd love to buy. You could have 15 teams in a division of teams that won the WS and 15 teams in a division that lost a WS then the winner of each division meets up in a WS without playoffs like in the old school days.

Of course it'd be nearly impossible to get the rights to the players' likenesses.

For every step forward they could be taking a step back. I wish they would shelf most of their ideas and just polish this game off. Make it play like real baseball first and fix the animations. They are patronizing too sometimes. Realistic physichs for runners? Are you kidding? This is something that every other game has and something that should be expected, they slap some fancy label on it and act like they deserve an award.
Co-sign... especially the part about not focusing on subtle nuances, and things being over the top.

So, if you're saying that the WSE edition was lame because it wasn't quite an add-on to the game at all, then I would agree with you. But that's about as far as the line goes.
Candyman is saying -- among other things -- that's it's shameful they would release the game a second time, knowing it was full of bugs and glitches. And I agree. And this is something you appear to continually avoid whenever you defend WSE.

If EA did that, people around here would rake them over the coals. When a company is acting in a shabby manner, they need to be called on it. That's why I'm not buying this year's rah-rah hype from them. I still remember the mess that was 2K5, and the ripoff that was WSE.

As a matter of fact, I don't think I've ever seen an MLB 2K5 commercial either.
It was never advertised. I didn't see one commercial for it, but I did for regular MLB2K5.

Way too many gimmicks which are useless are always released.

The game was a huge disappointment to say the least. The game served better as a shim for under my entertainment center than it did as a game.

I will never buy a second in season release from this company again!

Ah but would you buy it if it had 30 WS teams in a season format?

If their were serious bugs or problems with the first release of the game for the season, then the answer would be .......NO!!!

They already showed me last year that they were not concerned about addressing problems.

Yup. I sure wish they'd change it. As a matter of fact, they should have multiple dynamic sequences for cutscenes for the beginning of a game. I'd love some blimp shots and everything! Perhaps for 360.

Well, no... I never avoid it. I recall saying once that "they probably just hired some kids off the street that know programming code, and they just added in the World Series elements."

Because you have to remember that they didn't want to detract any time, resources, or developers to continue on with MLB 2K6. I'd be surprised if more than 10 people worked on the World Series Edition. It's not like they spent 6 months on making that, then 6 months on MLB 2K6. It was the exact same game minus ESPN plus World Series features. Remember when I also said that they didn't have to have an option to remove the strike zone... but they did.

I guess I'm not as pissed about it because I didn't buy it, and I already foresaw what the game was going to be all about before buying it.

The one problem that the World Series Edition had was that it did not allow you to load save files from MLB 2K5. BIG NO-NO!

Just seeing that intro cutscene makes me upset alone that they recycled the same things from last year. Take Two needs to dump KUSH and bring on VC for this game also. I will buy this game since I have no choices on the 360 or XBOX since I'm tired of MVP that I played the hell out of that series. I just hope that we are surprised with the outcome.

If NBA2K6 was an improvement, hopefully this game will be also. I didn't try NHL2K6 on the 360, but I owned it on the XBOX. I heard that the graphics were somewhat of an improvement on the 360. We will see.

At this point I'm more worried about the gameplay.

I wasn't so pissed about the WSE since I had only borrowed MLB2K5 from a friend of mine for 2-3 weeks when it came out. It gave me a chance to play the game a bit. When WSE was released, I bought it because it was like a new game to me. I still new of the issues and the WS bandaide that was placed over MLB2K5.

I think your comment above is funny about hiring some kids off the street. It could be possible. I think that if 2KSports spent more money on their QA staff and actually testing games before release, than bugs/glitches would be caught sooner.
