    Potential Problem

Sorry if this has already been mentioned but when I was watching the POTD's and other videos and noticed the baserunners sort of stop at a base and then advance to the next base a second later. When i was watching the videos i saw a ton of people gunned out at home and i was trying to find a reason for this. Thats when i noticed the delay.

Did any of you guys notice this? Do you think it will be fixable

The question is, who was controlling the runners: the CPU or the User? In 2K5, you had to pre-load the base you wanted the guy to run to, or he abruptly stopped running. That could be all it is.

Yeah, this has been discussed before. I agree with ya baa7. I think it was a USER thing rather than a flaw with the game. I loved the baserunning last year, and will hold judgement until I have the game in my hands this year. The super throws from the outfield can hopefully be fixes with sliders.

Those guys at IGN play on the easiest levels and can make any sports game look worse than what it really is. Put two guys here at OS side-by-side with two IGN guys playing the game.... You will see two different games...

They were easily fixed with edits last year, so I'm not worried. Also, of all the baseball games I've tweaked, 2K5 was the best as far as being able to edit ratings and actually see the difference in-game. Lower an OF's arm strength and accuracy, and you see throws coming up short and way off target.

Yes, that problem was fixed. It's neat when you mess around with player rating. lol.

Something I like to brag about : I lowered pretty well every player's fielding ratings in the game last year, to differentiate between the ordinary and the star defensive players. Afterwards, I found the CPU would sub defensive specialists into the game during the later innings when it had a lead. It didn’t do that with the default ratings and players, because everyone’s defensive ratings are too high to start with, so there was no point in subbing in other players (or however the CPU AI thinks about these things).

So for example: I play with DH off for both leagues – real baseball, I call it – and whenever I played the Red Sox and whenever the CPU pulled ahead later on in the game which was every time, it always yanked Manny out of LF and Ortiz off 1B, and stuck in players who know what to do with a ball if they don’t have a bat in their hands.

God baa7, love ya man, but let's hope we don't have to edit this new game like we did last year.

I have an alter with a carving of bigfnjoe sitting under a banyon tree on one side, and a picture of Blzer on the cross on the other. I pray to that alter each day: "Boys, for god's sake make 2K put out a decent game this year."

I forgot about the goat's head. You gave up on 2K and moved over to the Dark Side, Luke. That's what the goat's head represents.

lol. I didn't have time to edit 700 players.

There I don't blame you... And honestly, not sure I ever want to do that again. I actually got headaches last year from all that editing...

AH HA!!! The truth be told. The truth is setting you free my man.

Actually editing and doing rosters is almost as much fun as the game.

I'd say "more fun" myself, although I had a blast playing 2K5 for some odd reason. Don't usually get into the playing part like I did with that game.

Having done many roster updates and roster edits myself, I can too say that I've gotten headaches after 2+ hours of lowering and increasing sliders, numbers, bars, etc.
