If you only play football and baseball you should look at branching out before investing in the 360. If those were the only games I played i never would have bought my 360 on launch day, i would be doing just as you are and waiting for titles that make the purchase worth my while. However; in saying this you are forcing yourself to wait almost another year before you start seeing what the 360 can really do given enought dev time. I'll bet NCAA football for the 360 will be sweet and definitly help you make the decision to buy a 360.

Man after seeing the trailer one thing comes to mind. If 2k sports games had overlays and an interface on par with EA. 2K would crush EA.

I myself have been just a sports gamer for years, but I would never just buy a $400 system just for sports games, and just 2 as your saying....Why even buy a system if your not going to play more then 2 games every year....Here wait, let me get you a shovel becuae your own bulls**t is getting to deep.

I bought the Gamecube just to play Homerun Kings. The only game I have the for the PS2 is MLB The Show. The only game I will have for the 360 is MLK2k6 and COD2. Personal choice what somebody wants to do with their money.

Dear God, someone actually LIKES the EA overlays?

EA uses a much cleaner, brighter, user friendly interface with crisper fonts in their sports games.

I just wish 2K would hire better overlay designers. Even when 2K had the ESPN license i thought EA did a better job. However the madden series has been dropping the ball the past 2 years in this department as well.

Exactly. The childish attacks on anyone who has a less than supportive view towards 2K6, is ridiculous. I thought we were adults here people.

Meatman, I bought an Xbox twenty minutes after I saw NFL 2K4 for the first time, so I know where you’re coming from. To me, 2K6 for the 360 looks great. The animations and player models are greatly improved. Now, when I look at it, would it inspire me to rush out and purchase a 360 if I didn’t already own one? My answer is “no”.

Personally, I was more wowed by the vids of The Show. And that’s because I got the sense that I was watching a great baseball sim. This 2K6 vid is the sort EA puts out, and doesn’t really show all that much – except that there’s lots of fast, furious action in 2K6. But is that enough? Well, 2K5 was programmed in that same “crazy arcade” style, so I’m going to have to hold off on getting too excited until we all get to play it. But it does look greatly improved.

Yeah as some of you guys mentioned the swings look better it also looks like the diving is toned down more in the 360 version

They definitely added a new swing animation. Blzer was the first to notice it several weeks ago. The batter appears to watch the pitch as it comes in, which is new, plus his head doesn't twist around 160 degrees like in 2K5. His head twists slightly, but then turns back to watch the hit ball as it sails off.

Anyone have the direct link to the trailer, I looked on the page linked but didn't see it anywhere, probably stands out obvious and I overlooked it somehow but if anyone can post a more direct link thanks.
