They also gave Godfather a 6.5. I played Godfather and it's really really fun and a solid game. It's the best time I've had playing an action game in a while. So this is good news to me, sort of.Comment

Yeah I can't believe that. Graphically FNR3 is top notch and the gameplay is pretty good (aside from a few things that bother me), but the career mode is terrible. It makes the game very weak in terms of single person playability.Originally posted by Kev5890Comment

I don't want to always have to bring this up, but just because the same magazine gave these other scores, it's two different people. Even if it was the same person, it's his opinion.
It's like how I may be in love with the SOCOM series, but despise the Final Fantasy series. So, that way, I rate them however I want on my number scale. Does it make them a good or bad game? Not necessarily... FF and SOCOM are both very popular games, and they are also platform titles.
Here, in this situation, it's one person's score... just like going to Amazon.com and seeing somebody else put up a 2, or somebody putting up a 10. What I like to read is the reviewer's supporting statements as to why they came up with that number. If their reasoning backs it up (due to personal distaste in something), then I have no problem with it. It's when some incorrect facts are stated that I love to go overboard and bash a review.

But it seems odd to me..Game informer praised MLB with a 8.5 Saying things like "It blows the door off of anything you would expect from a baseball game"

It was the Xbox version. They said they liked the pitching and hitting, after saying that Kush was copying Ea's MVP. They liked the Inside Edge and Franchise mode but felt the fielding was unresponsive and sluggish. It wasn't really any different than the GI review. They did say that they recommended it and felt that the series was headed in the right direction. They said that the game got two out of three things right, which is batting .667. Okay review.....Note to Tiburon Marketing:
A great product sells itself, no "back of the box" features required! (See Fifa...)

The Godfather deserves atleast a 8.0 - 8.5 range, it's such a good game and a fresh breath of air.Originally posted by Fenrir
