    User Control in Season/Franchise

Is it true that we can no longer control all 30 teams in Season/Franchise mode? I heard that aspect of the game has been changed.

I've been reading the forum all day today and did not see anything about that. Can someone please answer this question. I so hope this is not true.....

    Thanks.

Sorry to disappoint but you can control 4 teams at the most in any season/franchise type modes. There is no way to control all 30 teams during the season. It really sux.

Which one is it? This question alone will determine if I even bother to buy this game?

Hmm, I'm confused, too. What Stripmallp said was what I heard (max of 4 teams).

Marci... can you clear this one up for us? Have you actually tried it in game and confirm you can switch all 30 teams to user like previous year's game? I'm also waiting for this answer before I decide whether to buy it or not. Maybe I should rent it and see for myself

I've read on other boards that you can control only 4 teams in franchise but all 30 teams in season mode...i am not 100% though..

I like to be able to play with more than one team. I hate being forced to play the same team every game for a season. I also like the option of being able to play meaningful games throughout the season even if my team isnt involved.

I like to control all teams also, so I can make the trades that happen in the middle of the year in real baseball and I like to be able to play other teams.

I hope what Marzi says is true, I will look when I get home from work, but I am pretty sure it is only 4 teams max in all modes.

Different people have different reasons for this. Some like to follow real life and control the rosters. Some like to watch CPU play other games. Some like to switch to another team if their own team is eliminated.

Yup. If you get my point. It's all about FLEXIBILITY. I don't want to my game to be restricted. I salute all game companies who at least give us an option. If we want to play with only ONE team, we can. If we feel like controlling 27 teams, we can.

Stripmallp, I'd appreciate it SO MUCH if you'd look for us and let us know when you get home from work Thank you!

Just about to leave work and I looked at the "Enhanced Manual" on 2k's site and it does say "You and up to 29 of your friends can have a go at it in Season Mode." It says this in both the xbox and PS2 manuals, I have the ps2 (mistake #1) version, and I am sure that you could only control 4 teams in the season mode. I WILL DOUBLE CHECK, but that is one of the first things I check whenever I buy a game, so hopefully I was just dumb with excitement that the game had fianlly come out and made a mistake.

Oh and if anybody has the xbox version I would check that one to see if it is different, cause I would not be surprised.

Ohh, now you've got me scared. I'm like you. Season/Franchise user control option is usually the first thing I check when I get a new sports game.... it's usually pretty simple (so pretty hard to make a mistake or miss anything).

Me and a few others will be eagerly awaiting your comfirmation, man. Thanks a lot

Very definetely only 4 teams that can be controlled. The "Enhanced Manual" is wrong. You cannot in any way control all 30 teams. Sorry to let you all know. This is for the ps2 version. It could be different in the xbox version, but I doubt it.
