Yes, I've played MVP from 2003-2006 but the NCAA MVP just wasnt doing it for me. I'd go back to it in a heartbeat, well I probably will do just that. I'm trading this game in and getting my beloved MVP back.
Now before you flame me for being an MVP fanboy just let me tell you I've given this game a chance. I had an open mind.
First of all, every time I sign onto Xbox Live I lose my VIP settings, all the music goes back to that annoying 2K song and I cant figure out how to save the online roster update. That was the first thing that bugged me.
Everyone raves about presentation, yes John Miller and Joe Morgan are great to hear especially better than MVP's guys so 2K wins there. The presentation is indeed better than MVP but its nothing spectacular.
A lot of people say 2Ks graphics kill EA's in every game. Yes, that's true in the basketball game but not baseball. (I never agreed with that with the football games THOUGH I LOVED NFL 2K5, for the record)
So okay, the graphics are goofy to me, the presentation is good but the gameplay...ahh, the gameplay. I already felt sick before even starting to play this game, the gameplay is making me contemplate suicide. Pitching isnt terrible but its not fun for me at all. MVP's was better. Hitting, oh ya, MVP's was better there too. The hitting in this game is like a poor man's version of MVP's hitting system. Relatively the same thing, just 10 times worse. Fielding is terrible and unrealistic.
I'm too frustrated to really go into any expert detail and I KNOW you're gonna flame me, afterall I'm asking for it. Just know that I like both EA and 2K games...it just depends on the game.
