I just answered my own ?
"The Good: Exquisite hitting and pitching interfaces; deep franchise mode ; comprehensive stats tracking; inside edge integrates stats into gameplay; online tourneys and leagues.
The Bad: Not enough replays and cutaways; same plays happen all the time; generic broadcast views compared to 2k5; no cutaways or broadcast transitions online; miller and morgan left their excitement at home."
If their main beefs are with the presentation, I'm not worried at all than since I've been reading the bugs/impressions thread and their not as bad.Comment

Re: GS gives it 7.0
PS2 got a 7, Xbox a 7.3. From them, from the sounds of this game, that's a GREAT review.Comment

They can write a 30 page review but the eyes do not lie! Things they seem okay with do not seem to correspond with what we see in the videos!“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment

Re: GS gives it 7.0
Weird, based on what they said in the review I think on their scale Graphics should be a 7 instead of a 6, and sound should be an 8 instead of a 7. The reviewer's nitpicks with the "lack of enthusiasm" is strange, I'm not sure if he ever watches ESPN Sunday Night Baseball, but Jon & Joe sound exactly the same they do in the game as they do on TV, and they do get excited in certain situations.
Overall it seems like a fair review, glad to see that they enjoyed the batting & pitching mechanics too.Comment

Here's the end of the review, in case any of you didn't want to read it and just wanted a quick summary:
"...MLB 2K6 gets much more right than it does wrong.
Here's hoping that 2K Games will beef up the presentation and atmosphere in next year's installment to match the already rich gameplay and features. Major League Baseball 2K6 is by no means a bad game, but its portrayal of the sport is apathetic compared to other recent console baseball sims.

I hate these sites that play the demo for a day and think they can judge it.
that's why I like OS. OS reviews are actually about the game, instead of your standard summary of the new features with a number slapped on the end.Comment

Re: GS gives it 7.0
I'm very curious to see what OS gives this game. That's when we start lynching. For real though, I'm definitely waiting to see what the 360 gets. I wasn't planning on getting this but if I get my old school bill paid out in full, I'll be really considering getting this game and possibly getting online in a league or something. I'm glad that the gameplay is a positive. That's all I wanted to hear.

The graphics are crisp, the player and stadium models are mostly accurate, the scoreboards update, the physics seem believable, and the animation is smooth.Comment

Uh thats been in games for years now its not something all that special. This is a stupid review. I swear the review is completely backwards of what the game really is. Also it deserves better than a 7.3, at least a 7.8.“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment
