What do they do to simulate a rain delay? Anything cool or is it nothing special?Comment

Re: Anyone encountered a rain delay or rainout yet?
I haven't had one yet, but I read on another board that Jon & Joe do some rounds of Trivia during the delay (check out your point summary after games, ever wondered how you get "Trivia" points? That must be it). Also someone else said if you pull the right trigger or something you can skip the delay if you want to go back to playing right away.
As for rain in domes/covered fields, I'veo nly noticed it in places like Chase Field (ARI), Safeco (SEA), and Minute Maid Park (HOU) because the roofs were open. Obviously they should close the roofs to prevent the rain from getting in, but I don't think any games have that type of thing in it, kinda sucks. At least it can't rain in completely closed domes like Tropicana or Olympic Stadium, that would be ridiculous.Comment

Just experiened one in the 2nd game of a Mets Franchise I started. Night game with rain from the beginning. During the bottom of the 2nd inning, the screen cuts away from the action and I see the umpires huddled togather at home plate. They confer for a minute and then the Homeplate umpire waves his arms to signal a delay.
No ground crew coming out with a tarp (must be 360 version). Jon/Joe talk for about 2min as the game gives you a stadium pan from left to right. When its over, the teams take the field again.Comment

Re: Anyone encountered a rain delay or rainout yet?
This is about rain, not uniforms....Anyway, I've heard plenty about rain DELAYS, how about RAINOUTS....MVP did this last year and set up a doubleheader later in the season, or made it up on an offday. What happens during a rainout? Or are there rainouts? (Better be, they promised in an interview!)Comment

I haven't experienced a cancelled game and subsequent double-header, but I assume they are in because you can control whether to turn them on or off when you start your GM Mode/Franchise/Season. I'm curious as to if you have a double-header if your players (other than pitchers) will be fatigued by the second game. Also, I really hope Jon & Joe announce it being a doubleheader too.Comment
