    Pitcher velocity needs to change

I thought I saw this problem in a game last night, but after a little more testing I didn't see it.

Now in the 1st inning of a game between LAA(me) and Texas, I'm pitching with Bartolo Colon. I just threw a 101 MPH heater to Texeira.

This was in last years game as well. They don't have the proper velocity ratings for pitchers. Or they just have "Fastball" ratings instead of "Fastball Command" "Fastball Velocity" ratings.

    This is ridiculous.

Yeah, in this game, the pitcher's velocity goes down instead of the control for the mostpart. As the game wears on, a pitcher will routinely lose 4-5mph on their pitches which is kinda ********. I was throwin 101 with Beckett and then alter on I was only hitting 93-94. That isn't how velocity works in real life...

Yeah, but it still is rare. I also hit 98 with Schilling in the 5th last night.

MVP's velocities were too high last year. It seems like the people who set these numbers at video game companies love to juice the pitchers.

someone was saying to set the pitcher fatigue at 25 or 35 ( i forget which one) so that the drop off in stamina and pitch velocity is more realisitic.

Just lower their individual pitch ratings, and problem solved. FB's needed to come down 4-5 points last year, and Curves needed to come down 10 or more in most cases.

Good info. Still, dozens of pitchers should NEVER be throwing in the 100's (should anybody??) regardless of where the various silders are set. The problem is first and foremost with the pitch ratings.

you know that half the people will probably boost their players to be the best. so for the realistic people out there, they should be able to either lower or increase their rating.

Yes, my 10 year-old nephew is like that, so I know what you mean. I was talking about anyone older than Dakota Fanning: "older folk" and adults who might prefer a bit of realism with their baseball

That doesn't help much when all you really want to play is Franchise mode.

No, but I've been saying since last year that 2K baseball, with all the roster glitches and ratings issues, isn't much of a franchise game. It's really just a season mode game. But without being able to control all teams in 2K6 and fix CPU lineups etc, it's not even a season mode game this year -- it's more a quick game mode game.

I thought you could control all the teams in Season mode

Last year yes. This year no, from what people here have been saying. Four teams max apparently, same as franchise mode. Fooey on whoever made that decision.
