    Dynamic Difficulty - On/Off?

Which did you guys choose for Franchise? I'm about to set one up now, so I'm deciding at the moment.

    Thanks.

YES! EA can finally implement the option to turn it off in their games, then. Just another thing they can steal from VC.

Funny how every single complaint people usually have with EA's games are a result of them not giving us the option to change something very simple like that, but that's OT.

        Re: Dynamic Difficulty - On/Off?

I just fired up my franchise and I have it ON for the time being. I wish it was more clearly explained. It sounds like a good idea in theory, if I'm 50 games into the season and I'm not blowing anybody out, then I guess its a good thing.

it's supposed to curb streaks..winning or losing.

if u rip off 15 wins(not sure if its 15, 10, 12, 7) in a row against the cpu, dynamic diff will raise the cpu sliders/ratings to make it harder for you to win

vice versa if u lose a bunch

                again...if it works

                  Re: Dynamic Difficulty - On/Off?

I have it on for my GM Mode, I'm 2-4 right now after losing the 3-game series with the Cards 1-2. In my two loses to them they blew me out by 5 runs and then to close out the series a 9-0 blowout complete with a Chris Carpenter shut-out, ouch.

Here's hoping the CPU lets up a bit in my next series with the Reds, heh.

so I take it it means that sliders will automatically adjusted as we get more accostomed to the game? That is cool if true

I have it on and i am 5-4. I have had some pretty amazing games with it on.

I like it, you definitely know when they are ON for the day though.

                        Re: Dynamic Difficulty - On/Off?

It sounds like it makes the games feel scripted.

If I rip off 15 easy wins against the CPU, it means I need to tighten up the sliders myself.

                          Re: Dynamic Difficulty - On/Off?

I dunno, when the Cardinals jacked me up I just attributed to them just having good days and myself having off days. It's nothing like the horrendous "Catch-up AI" problems of the past. I haven't noticed my sliders changing at all (mine are at a custom set I made), but this Dynamic Difficulty thing sounds great in theory. Obviously I'll have a better grasp in this later in my season, right now I'm just 7 games into it.

                            Re: Dynamic Difficulty - On/Off?

Well, I was 9 - 9 before turning it on. One game in, I lost 4 - 2 against the world leading Mets (as of now). So, 9 - 10... 0 - 1 with Dynamic Difficulty on.

This was also the first time that I tried Classic Hitting. Swing Stick is VERY fun, but I don't seem to hit the ball down the line enough. Swing Stick gives me the line, but I can't seem to hit it in the air enough. It's because when there's a low pitch, I'm aiming down at it, influencing a ground ball.

Please help me with one or the other.

I've had it on for all games in franchise and had my A** handed to me from time to time, its either that or a close game throughout. Keeps it competitive, but nothing out of ordinary..Don't seem to be any Catch up A.I. issues, but like someone said, you can tell when the PC is just on
