I've given up on this game..

I just pray that the Xbox 360 version is a much better game, but I'm not holding my breath.

And to those still enjoying the game good for you. I for one cannot get into it. Just to many AI issues, missing options, bugs for me to enjoy.

I've been hard on the game and bashing it for what it is. I'm not going to shy away from this.

I do believe these guys didn't put much effort into making this game a quality one. It is evident in many areas, as noted above and in my previous posts.

The potential is there, but 2K has a long way to go IMO.

Oh how much I would have loved to have seen another MLB baseball game on the Xbox. Having one choice just isn't enough.

They should never have released on the current gens like this. They should have just put it on the 360...hell...they did that with Top Spin . It's too blatant that they just wanted to steal some extra cash.

Microsoft has the High Heat license. Why they haven't utilized that yet is strange.

I can't agree with you more. I'm growing more depressed every day into baseball season for the fact that I will not even play an MLB game this year. Baseball games have always been my favorite video games and to think that I will not even buy/play one this year is unthinkable.

            I'm SUPER PISSED as well.

...stuck with Madden instead of 2K Football

...& 2k Baseball instead of MVP

...at least NBA 2k's still there.

It's comments like this that piss me off. I don't have an Xbox 360 yet. I do have MLB 2K6 for the Xbox and I'm enjoying it. So I suppose myself, and all those who don't have an Xbox 360 yet are supposed to go without the game in order to make you feel better about the next-gen version? Get over yourself already. And how exactly are they stealing? A company actually trying to make money. Imagine that! I guess you work for free right?

If you are that depressed, buy a used ps2 and ge the show.Worth every penny if you love playing baseball video games.I know Skyboxer repurchased the ps2 fro the show and doesn't regret it.

Re: I've given up on this game..

I hope this does not come off as trolling, because that is not my intent. However, for those of you who don't know and care, there is a conversion of Totte's pc Ultimate Rosters 6.0 (Opening Day version) for XBOX over at the mvpmods site. This has up top date major AND minor league rosters. You can use this mod on an unmodded Xbox as well. I do not know if and when a conversion for the PS2 will be done.

If you have a modded Xbox, you can take advantage of almost all the other pc mods for the game that have been converted for Xbox - stadiums, uniforms, rosters (obviously), datafiles (chjanges ball physics, fielder positions, etc.), and other things.

If you have a PS2, I'd advise picking up MLB the Show - an excellent game that surpasses MVP in some areas...you can't go wrong with this title either.

So, there are a few options based on 2K6 being as poor as most people think. I was hoping for a strong effort from them, but I think everyone's fears have been realized...

You're talking about to use with MVP 05?

I feel the same way you do, the two games that I liked are the ones that got screwed over.

I agree, just when both games were starting to peak
