Its your only choice unless you own a PS2. If you do, go get THE SHOW! you won`t be disappointed.Comment

Anyway, I traded in my xbox (w/ my Circuit City warranty) for a PS2 and the show and I do recommend this IF and only if you are unhappy wih 2k6 AND baseball is your favorite sport. There are also other Ps2 exclusives I wanted to play loke Smackdown 2006, so it was totally worh it 4 me. And I always pay the extra $25 for the warranty in case something like this happens...allowing me to trade in my electronic for something ele w/out getting worked-over by the low-low trade in values the game stores offer you 4 the consoles.
The beauiful thing about having the PS2 is that now I can go either way for baseball gaming...and I have found that how good MLB2k6 is (or isn't) ain't as big a deal anymoe. I can actually enjoy 2k6 for what it is knowing that I can skip town (games) whenever I want.Unofficial OS Ambassador of "CPU vs. CPU"
Now Playing:
XB1 (Forza Motorsport 6 and Horizon 2)
Switch (Mario Kart and Zelda)
PS3 (old 2k games and the Show)Comment

Re: I've given up on this game..
something is going to need to go down as far as these liscences. I love Madden, and they still make great games with thier liscence (even though NFL 2kk competition would be nice). 2k doesnt even make a good baseball game with thier liscence. Something is gonna have to go down, because it sucks for us gamers. Maybe Microsoft will make a new High Heat baseball, but i dunno. 2k shouldnt have released the game at all.Comment

High Heat question is interesting ...I was under the impression that MS ditched the sports games because of a deal with EA to come aboard xbox Live...now that EA has no MLB game...maybe now MS can use High Heat? Again not even sure if MS still owns high Heat?Comment

Originally posted by jrivera34Microsoft sold all of their sports related game to 2k I believe. So if this game is a bad as everyone here is saying, I would really hope they go back to the drawing board. Use the 2k graphics with the HH gameplay engine and I will be like a kid in a candy store.
No, they sold Amped and Top Spin to 2K. The others were sold to Ubisoft, although I'm not sure High Heat was included in that deal. I know Links and their football, basketball and hockey engines were included in the Ubisoft deal but can't remember if baseball was or not.Comment

And to those still enjoying the game good for you. I for one cannot get into it. Just to many AI issues, missing options, bugs for me to enjoy.
I've been hard on the game and bashing it for what it is. I'm not going to shy away from this.
I do believe these guys didn't put much effort into making this game a quality one. It is evident in many areas, as noted above and in my previous posts.
The potential is there, but 2K has a long way to go IMO.
Oh how much I would have loved to have seen another MLB baseball game on the Xbox. Having one choice just isn't enough.

They can't unless it was published by MS or Nintendo, since I'm assuming Sony wouldn't ditch 989's game. Konami is a 3rd party and therefore excluded just like EA.Comment

Re: I've given up on this game..
I must be in the minority here, because after my slider adjustments and bumping up the game level, I find this game very enjoyable. Are there a couple of things I wish they would've corrected? Absolutely. But this game is no way near unplayable like it's being made out to be. There is a learning curve, but once you've learned what you're doing, it's a great experience. I played The Show over the weekend, and I wasn't blown away. It's a good game, but It has it's share of problems as well. But again, to each there own.Watch ya self!
